I'd imagine Castle is just a bit too big for Carl- is this on the u/c of the Napa fight? If so, excellent, I'll be there 8)
Re: Carl Johannesson vs Henry Castle who wins
QUality fight in prospect, depends which version of Carl turns up as ever. If at his best he has enough for Castle imho, but Castle is an improver and Johansson at a definite crossroads so it's a perfect match-up.

Hard one to call, depends how much Johannesson has left, if he's on form then i think he'll be a bit to strong for Castle.
Akaash Bhatia has impressed me so far, good boxing skills, and uses his brain to outwork his opponent, doesn't get drawn into a slugging match.
He should really be pushing for British title level by the end of the year

thanks re Bhatia OBI
my fear for carl is how he goes mentally as and when Castle lands his best shots.....

Bhatia LOOKS the part, but is he really the goods?Old bones Ian wrote:Hard one to call, depends how much Johannesson has left, if he's on form then i think he'll be a bit to strong for Castle.

That stoppage of Callaghan, while it looked good, was deceptive. To make him look like a damaging puncher, arguably. Asiku did it with a few beautiful shots. Bhatia threw the kitchen sink at him, a Callaghan who'd been in some punishing fights.
Johanesson v Castle looks like a great fight. Really enjoyed Johanesson's last two. Castle has come on a bit as well. I actually think it's Johanesson's fight to win. Castle not a particularly big lightweight himself. Carl maybe a bit too compact, though on recent form Castle seems in with a good shot.
Will this be some kind of British elim, as Watson-Gethin is? Could be plenty to keep John Murray busy if he's not going to be allowed to move on to Euro level.

I think he'll do ok, if he has a good chin to go with his skills.
Hopefully he'll start to get some more challenging fights this year.
