Macklin - Elcock SPOILER

Post by black panther »

Macklin destroys Elcock in round three! He looked a level above, did Macklin - overhand right did the damage. On this performance Macklin would give Barker a HELLUVA fight. Lets get it on! :box:

Shame Macklin's big performance is on the same night as Khan.

Macklin has clearly improved with Joe Gallagher.

Thought Macklin would do it. I remember guys here saying Elcock's chin wasn't good and Macklin is quite mobile and can punch. Elcock fights stiff.

Elcock has never been too sturdy in the beard department and it let him down again last night. He's a smart boxer but Macklin just walked through him with the power. Barker or McDermott next would be tasty.

That was razor sharp form Macklin. Good that he and Mooresy are doing so well. Their fight could have ruined many a fighter but great to see both have moved on/up from that.

Such a good result for Macklin but inevitably ppl are talking about Warren's card.

A few ppl were sure that it was a perfect fight for Macklin - trainer Joe Gallagher had zero doubts - but still a very good win and he did it better than Abraham did Elcock.

I missed this knockdown I was channel hopping between this and the Cook-martinez fight. I hopped over to Cook and missed the Macklin finish, then was watching replays of the Macklin finish and missed the Cook KO. Bloody too much boxing on haha.

that's the best I have seen Matthew :TU:

he seems to fight up to the level of his comp. I was very impressed with the way he picked his shots

the left uppercut between Elcock'sgloves was a real class shot and Elcock's left leg went through 270 degrees, he was 'gone' from that moment

i meant to ask:

does the Macklin win become even better in hindsight for Jamie Moore? beating, albeit a 'weight-drained' Macklin, looks pretty good after Macklin wrecked a man 2 rounds quicker than the hammerfisted Abraham...

I think so, but Macklin showed a lack experience that night and Mooresy experience.

You could see Macklin visible running out of steam as the rounds went by and he refused to change tactics.

He did a good job on Elcock but I think most Top British guys would..Elcock ran from Eastman from what I heard - anyone see that fight?

Good win for Macklin!
