who would like to see john murray vs amir khan ??
i think this would be a good fight , john is a big lightweigh like khan , and can punch khans go faster hands murray the better chin very interesting
Re: who would like to see john murray vs amir khan ??
Stylewise that is a tough match for Murray. He would be totally out of it for the first 4-5 rounds, but it would depend on what he had left after that.jrh wrote:i think this would be a good fight , john is a big lightweigh like khan , and can punch khans go faster hands murray the better chin very interesting

I do not thijnk Khan will do much at World Level....
Barrara was fat old and slow and badly bleeding.
Khan is fast but even the best fightes get hit and he will get hit on e day and that him done. Too fragile.
He has improved but still too fragile.
Murray Khan would be good but Khan is off to get knocked out in the states.

nah this match up is good but purse bid. khan asking price is too much. he would fight anyone but the politics side of things . i dont think khan would want fight Murray as khan wants to go state side and fight for a world title over there where his china chin will get exposed AGAIN .will get ko'd for def. if he faces the diazs any od the LW in his weight.hahha.DG. wrote:I do not thijnk Khan will do much at World Level....

that is a excellent match up or Romovou. thats would be good one to watch as well. i think maybe he might fight for a euro belt next .if so what oppoant would khan face?hitman_hatton1 wrote:it won't happen.

Re: who would like to see john murray vs amir khan ??
Khan wont fight Murray, too much to lose. Doesnt look like Khan is intrested in british or even european level. He wants a world title. Be intresting to see who he fights though. All the belts are held by good opposition. To be completely honest IMO Khan should of gone the traditional way, British, european then world. It just looks to me that they are avoiding everyone good until an easier route becomes available. Although current european champ Mezaache looks like a good bet next.

Re: who would like to see john murray vs amir khan ??
Yes although I'd prefer a more established opponent
Re: who would like to see john murray vs amir khan ??
Khan beats Romanov. Katsidis would be a terribly difficult and unpredictable match, because he is so wild. Someone like David Diaz would be a good onward step for Khan.
Re: who would like to see john murray vs amir khan ??
Khan would not beat Romanov. You can quote me on that.
Re: who would like to see john murray vs amir khan ??
Have to laugh when people are saying khan is no good a hype job etc then say he has no chance against marquez - marquez is in some people's top 3 p4p list. Give the boy a chance he's only 22 years old when will Khan get any credit on here as a great prospect. Would like too see people name there opponent that if he beats in the future will come on here and say that he is a great prospect with no excuses. Weather it be prescott Romanov Murray but ffs no marquez's at this stage and again no prescott then change later and say he wasn't as good as first thought or barerra got cut.
Yes barerra did have a bad cut but was clear too see that khan was too good in nearly every department from the opening bell felt barerra was a little unsportsmanlike how many would be willing to put say £100 on barerra winning a re-match if one was to be made. Credit where its due at this stage in his development barerra was a great win for khan last night

Murray V Khan, good fight but just isn't going to happen.
Re: who would like to see john murray vs amir khan ??
so if khan beats murray he will earn your respect and you will come on the next day and declare he is a good boxer with no excuses.

Khan IS a good boxer, no excuses. However the problem is Khan has this strange little belief that if he personally believes he's better than a fighter, then he sees no point in fighting them because he's already surpassed them. Someone needs to tell Khan that he actually has to prove it in the ring first.
Khan has to decide what he actually wants for his career. Does he want to be a respected boxer who took the risks and took on the best? Or does he want to just keep raking in the cash and taking on opponents that have been extremely carefully selected.
As he is now, he's a young kid brimming with potential but he needs to take the risk. He's good enough to put a dent in the division and if he wants respect he's got to earn it.
For me, Khan should forget the world title plan for a year. If he wins a vacant title against the likes of Jorge Barrios then he'll continue to be criticised.
For me, this is how Khan should earn his respect.
I think the Thaxton fight is dead in the water now unless Jono can avenge his loss to the French dude.
Khan should fight Murray and prove he is the best of British. He should then rematch Prescott because no matter what he achieves, the 54 second demolition will hang over his career until the loss is avenged. If he comes through these tests, he'll have earned a crack at a title. If it's a vacant shot, get him in with Katsidis. It'll be one hell of a fight. If he does this and takes the title, he can then start to defend it against some legit contenders. Believe me, if Khan works hard enough he could probably do this and EARN the respect he craves.
However, the reality on this suggests Khan will follow the easy money, probably gatecrash his way to a vacant title fight against someone a lot smaller and older, and then defend against a series of non descripts or ancient relics, coining in PPV money all the way and questioning why people still criticise him.

I think Khan needs to step back in the ring with Prescott before he thinks about challenging for a World title.
Murray versus Khan would be a great fight, although I think Murray is slightly too easy to hit as someone else said the first few rounds would be the key to the fight for me.

Re: who would like to see john murray vs amir khan ??
Khan has always set his sights high and now after the Barrera fiasco he wont give the Murrays and the Thaxtons a look in, not that he ever has. He wouldnt before because a loss against either would have really set him back. He only fought domestic fighters he was pretty certain of beating, Limond, Lawton And Gomez. Now he has crossed over and moved up to fighting the big boys and heaven help him. No matter how improved the new Khan product is he will get hit. The big names hit harder and can take a punch. I dont believe Khan does hit all that hard, nobody that has fought him has said he does. The weak chin will let him down just as Enzos has. Euro level is about his mark and time will prove it is.
Re: who would like to see john murray vs amir khan ??
I wonder how FW will use him now, my guess is to get a vacant WBO shot against someone beatable and build him up against the usual suspects.
I definately maintain that Khan is still a long way off the elite in the division.
Alex Arthur would prob be the sensible choice for the vacant shot

Re: who would like to see john murray vs amir khan ??
khan will not fight murray because they are in the same weight division, for khan to fight someone in the same weight division it will have to be a world title shot as otherwise its too risky. in the meantime i expect khan to fight a top 10 non punching contender from the super-featherweight rankings, maybe mzonke fana or even humberto soto probably fit the bill, yes he has 20 odd ko's but mainly against low grade fighters and he can be beaten. even a featherweight opponent is not out of the question knowing warren...so that means we need to also look at the likes of...cristobal cruz...

To give Khan credit, he talked of fighting for the European title next last night. That looks like a steady next step.
Murray's big problem is a lack of momentum. Since the start of 2008, he has faced McAllister, Meager and Youssef Al Hamidi. Compare that to Barrera, Fagan, Gomez, Kristjansen, St Clair and Prescott (albeit a defeat). I like Murray a lot, but you can't really stack up wins against the likes of Dean Hickman to some of the guys Khan has been in with and you can only really rate people on what they have actually achieved.

nah it wont as for ticket sales etc... purse bid. thats why the thaxton fight fell through coz Hennacy wanted to promote the figth and so did warren so the communication between both parties went throught the window. i reakon David Diaz or romovou would be good choice for amir to fight.
