MAB was rated number one by the WBO at lightweight despite not havin beaten a decent lightweight.
Does that mean Khan is now number one?

Re: WBO Lightweight rankings
In theory, beating the no.1 should make you the no.1, but what happens if the previous number 1 only got there because he signed with Don King (allegedly
)?
As long as Amir isn't rated above Breidis Prescott I'll be happy, it would be criminal if the guy he beat gets a shot first. I think Prescott no.1, Khan no.2 would be the best thing to do, then they could have a rematch for the vacant title!

I wouldn`t be too sure how the WBO interpret the manner of Khans win .. its a win, but on a cut..
Not sure how much good this will do Khan in the long run, he now will have to face genuine lightweights .. so almost any of them will be capable of giving him the KO .. safest and most probable to be accepted by SKY boxoffice opponent will be the guy who beat Thaxton recently, but he has a mandatory to get out of the way 1st though - so maybe they will not be able to hang around that long?
either way - I feel Khan is too far ahead in boxing for his own ability .. it`ll be sooner rather than later we see him on those Bambi like legs again

shhhhhh its a secret, there are some people on here who can, and will, fill 4 pages arguing about boxing rankings 'should x be 3rd rather that 4th?????' without once mentioning or considering or that every single alphabet organization in the world has been convicted of fraudulently manipulating its rankings at some time or another....
