The Geneva Boxing Team is hosting the first leg of the 2009 golden gloves tournament for our area. It will be held at the North Street School on North St in Geneva. Ticket prices are as follows. Ringside $25 Gen Addmission $15 Children 12 & under $7 Fights start @ 7pm Doors open @ 5pm. Food will be available for purchase. We always have a huge turn out. So I'm guessing your name is Charles Bakogiannis hence the screen name Coach B. What was the reason Aleem could not compete the second day against Ireland?

He injured his ring finger and the doctors wouldn't release him for the next fight.

In a dual, there isn't much sense in risking further injury.

You are absolutely correct. I think with some rest he will be fine. We have the GG starting in a few weeks, which will give him the time he needs.

How are you guys liking your new gym? It looked nice on TV.

Sorry for responding so late. We have been very busy these last few weeks with our pro fighting up in boston and getting ready for the golden gloves that we are hosting. To answer your question, I love the new gym but some of the boxers aren't used to it yet. They miss the dungeon that we used to train in. Even Tim is still not used to it. The little guys really like it. Most of the kids that come to our gym think it is better than their own houses. I had to help ABC put the ring together because they were just putting it up for tv purposes and it wasn't going to hold. We had to take it apart after the show to do it properly. If you are ever in our neck of the woods, feel free to stop by and say hello. I wanted to ask you a question. Have we met before at a tournament because you knew my name and I was trying to put the peices together?
