You're probably right.....but just look at the number of hits and pages on this David Haye thread - just shows the type of interest the BBC can expect if David keeps winning.
Hope they realise they're onto a good thing.

damn, didn't realise Rothman lost as well! I knew Ndou was upset. I understand that it's in the contract that the winner of the Haye-Thompson fight must meet Rothman...but after finding that out, i dont see why they should. I think Rothman is still in the picture,but yes he did lose back to back fights.Hes never been the same since the delaney fight,did anyone see that,i did he beat Delaney 1 handed because of a bad break.But hes not the same guy who beat Norton ,Oliver and a young Hobson,hes got nothing to keep u of him now so he aint got much mileage left.The guy who beat Ndou is a class act......Ihear a couple of matches between brits and the S.Africans are in the making,should be an interesting season coming up.

Haye and the HBO contract, plus some amateur boxing is all that is going to remain this year. As for next year, that is anyone's guess.
The best hope is that Haye becomes a massive star and generates enough interest to have his contract extended via fight academy, and that he carries on until next year.
Perhaps he can succeed where Audley has failed, in convincing the BBC that there is something to be gained in following an up and coming star.
My fear is though, that if Haye comes unstuck, it's all over and boxing coverage live on terrestrial TV dissapears for good.
