what do you have to do to qualify for the olympic trials

I was wondering what you have to do to qualify for the olympic trials. Also what is the Western, eastern, midwestern trials

In this past cycle it was the quarterfinalists at the USAs that went to the Trials. I think typically the ones that went were National Champion and Runner-Up, Golden Gloves Champion, PAL Champion, Armed Forces Champion, and then the different Trials champions (Eastern, Midwestern, Western Trials).

8 guys qualify...I was always told it was Eastern and Western Trials champs, Armed Forces champ, Golden Gloves champ, USA/ABF Champ and Runner up, an AT-Large entry and one other?

It's changed, John. Kolya had the right info for the 2008 qualifying process. We'll just have to wait and see what 2012 brings.
