Great win for the Dublin man. Cordoba was tough, talented and I thought at the end of the 10th he might pull away from Dunne with his raking body attackes but Dunne sucked it up and brought the title home..

Even Frank Maloney would have to admit that was a fantastic performance from Dunne - he fought like a man possessed!

What a great day for Irish sport :TU:
HAVE TO AGREE with you a great great performance i take my hat of to Dunne and Peters for having the balls to make the fight. Also would like to say it was a great day to be in Dublin what with the rugby and Dunnes win.
Fair play Frank :TU:

He says it as it is...

As much as i wanted Dunn to win. I didnt think he would WELL DONE :TU:
WBA Champ what else to come?

But he stoped Molitor in Canada, Sitchatchawal in Thailand, outslugged Ponce de Leon in California (PDL adopted home). He's a unified champ and is in the Ring top 10 p4p. If he was "just" a big guy I don't think he would have done that much. He can make hard work of things but when he's put in a hard situation he really shows that elite level quality.

The one interesting thing linking Dunne and Caballero - Caballero also won the "regular" title, also. Took him a long time to be able to get hold of the proper WBA champ.

Dunne - talented, popular, etc. Perfect fighter for Caballero to come over and smash in his hometown. This is what CC does in his sleep, beat up the home boy who calls himself champ. Wonder if the Dunne fans would want to see that fight!

Props to Dunne. Has learned to survive and get the win.

I doubt Dunne would last 5 rouns with Caballero - but you never know!

the point I was making is that Cordoba didnt come to Ireland as a favour to Dunne, he was getting paid a mint in terms of the SBW division

Why would they shut up, They would have a lot to cheers if the fight get on, Dunne did very well last night but if Dunne and Munroe met there only one winner and his not Irish. So Munroe fans will be making a lot of noise that night and drinking the dark stuff. We will wait the phone call is the only fight that makes sence and would do well over 20,000 fans live.

The Dunne fans are getting carried away, he did a good jop last nighth BUT he is till weak of chin.

Maybe he will give Martinez a rematch to set the record straight?

SlighBitchBoy and Hitwoman09, Dunne did good but he is not the 2nd coming.

Dunne fought a great ight, but the abuse form Slighgobitvh boy is not needed..

This might bring you back to earth, I am pleased for Dunne but 2 dumb bastards like you and Hitwoman09 need to wake up and smell the coffee and not be such arses beause people have a different opinion to your blinkered one.

Dunne came back well and showed great heart last night!

But, remember this?

Dunne, imo willl not beat a big hitting chanmpion like Caballero or however you spell his name..

Dunne has heart but is weak of chin.

Well done Bernard, great performance!

Well if you make a Dunne v Munroe fight you'll have enough humble pie to try it with both.

Do you have any contract with Paulie Hyland btw or was he just fighting on your shows to build up a potential Napa fight ?

Frank I was sitting behind you where Oisin Fagan was sitting.

I was keeping an eye on Rendall throughout the fight and he sat there motionless - he looked like he was sitting there with real envy (not the green eyed monster type but the I wish I was in there type) - what has he had to say about the fight and the set up. How can he go back to fighting in the Harvey Hadden Leisure Centre after seeing that?

Do you Dunne fans know anything about boxing ??? Dunne's reign as champion will last about as long as Nicky Cook's, You say Munroe is a limited fighter but that is nonsense, Dunne fought a very limited fighter in the form of Martinez and look what happened there. :TU:
