Colin Hart is a funny sod in my opinion. Usually he talks a lot of sense then all of a sudden, he will come out with some real crap.

Did you hear the way he was talking about the current heavyweight scene? Yes he is right, it is crap, but why was he talking about Vitali Klitschko as if he were some easy formality for Tyson? And as for John Ruiz, knowing today's Tyson, the result of that fight is open to debate.

In my opinion, (and most other people's) Klitschko would break Tyson in similar fashion to how Lewis did.

I think he's a allegedly arse-kisser as well. Also, does anyone else notice that he seems almost a bit bratty when someone disagrees with him? To me, he just comes accross as a bit of a big baby who wants everyone to agree with him.

But having said that, he does talk sense most of the time.

To be fair to him, he does know his boxing, but I just think he tends to get a little carried away and biased.

One day, i'll see him in the studio, I will agree 100% with what he says, then he will suddenly undo everything he said and ruin my respect for him by saying something like David Barnes outboxed Jimmy Vincent or that Mike Tyson would destroy Vitali Klitschko.

Nah, I like Bunce, he makes me laugh. Plus I think has more to say than Hart.

But yes Bunce can be a dick at times as well.

I think one of the most kowledgable pundits at the moment is actually Johnny Nelson.

Is it not unreasonable for a (supposed) professional to know the names of the Heavyweight titlists?

Thought it was bad he had to ask "what's the name of WBO titlelist?"

Was it just me or did Spencer Oliver keep interupting Harty last night?

In terms of pundits I like Richie Woodhall and Johnny Nelson. Bunce makes me laugh but I get worried the casual fan tuning into BBC coverage could believe what he says.

Colin Hart strikes me as a fusty old bugger, who is stuck in the 1980's, he seems to know very little about the current scene, and slags most modern fighters off, no wonder Prince Naseem didn't like him.

Imagine my surprise when I was at a press conference, and he asked me 'what's the score on this Ben Tackie bloke then,' he had never even heard of him, despite the fact that he was a former world title challenger.

I think Hart has been in the job too long, he was probably actually interested in the game at some point, but now he gets on shows by dint of the fact that he has been around so long.

It's irritiating when you would love to be in that position, and some fecker who doesn't even seem interested or knowledgable about the sport is just hanging in there for his fat tabloid salary.

bingo guys you hit the nail on the head. Colin comes accross as someone stuck in a time warp Im afraid, while he maybe knowledgable about the olden days his present knowledge is shambobilic in my view.
he is also incredibly pompous. Sat behind him at a press conference announcing the hatton and calzaghe card and it was almost as if he had a sheet of questions FW might like asking.
Thats not fw fault I guess but I was like for effs sake ask somink uite controversial ITS YOUR JOB.

The contempt that Mcrory and Spencer have for him was plain to see last night. Quality moment when asked why they would try and get Jamie arthur down to featherweight "beats me" says colin.
Spencer had to answer for him.
Nuff said.
He does talk sense about boxin alright unfortunately the boxers he talks about have been retired 20 years.
If I heard him talk about "when I met ali or when I was close to Sugar ray" very good Colin what about NOW.

Couldn't agree more. He has the best job in the game, too. Goes where he wants, when he wants and writes for an audience who, in the main, know absolutely nothing.
