Saw Ali won again at weekend in a short-notice job. Top man, good fighter.

Yes good friend Ali. Shame he wasn't british as he was ducked a lot and couldn't fight for the domestic titles. Hope he is enjoying life back in his home country.

I don't seem to have a current email for him, and I don't believe he checks his myspace page anymore, so hard to make contact. But he's been busy since he went back, that was his fifth fight back.

Who is Commonwealth Welter champion these days?

I think Ali had a bad night that night. That cut he had was, if not worse, but every bit as bad as the one Barrera suffered the other week.
It's not to take anything from Watson, but if he beats O'Donnell I will sit up and take notice. I don't think he will do though.
Mind you I had him down to whup Monsiur Hatton, even though BN went for Hatton.
I hadn't realised that Watson hadn't boxed since that night last May.....I don't think that long break will help him against O'Donnell.
