Its easy and you dont have to have the basic package,If you have or had NTL/VIRGIN in your house before, you should have a signal still, try and plug the cable lead which comes from the NTL/VRIGIN Box (little white box on the wall) stright into your tv and tune to see if your getting a few channels, once you see that your getting a few free to air channels, you now have a signal.
Buy a Eurovox,or starview 1,2,3 or 4, Dbox2, they all work the same,Plug the cable lead whichs comes from the Ntl box on the wall stright into the new box in which you buy and connect the scart lead from the new box to your tv and boom ,you have all channels that $ky have to offer.
Heres a link to a website whichs shows you what to buy and how to install.

I got all channels sky sports hd and setanta....but I m rich bitch so money to burn...lol
Setanta are ahead in my book...its got personality and jokes as well as serious fights. Bunce posts on here and answers as many questions as he can and is a nice bloke..
I never buy the ppv on sky I just wait till the thurs and watch em free or on justintv.....free stream via net.
The boxin on sky is dire itv is better but to be fair the last ppv was worth the money after seeing it later.

Only problem is about every six months or so they send software down the cables to block out the channels you are not paying for. The box then needs new software that gets around the problem. You need to know somebody who can fix the box, usually £20, so it receives all the channels again. Virgin are spending millions this year to beat the cheats and so I am told expect to have the problem solved by October. This is the situation with Starview so I imagine the same will apply to Eurovox. It needs thinking about.

Yup your right every 6 months or so they do send software to block out the channels but the link to the website i posted above gives you the software to download onto your box and it has an auto-roll which unblocks it for you,you dont need to use the software, you can input the keys manually yourself ,the keys are also given on the website. NTL have been saying this for years that they will put a stop to this but it will cost them millions so therefore it wont be in the near future.
