Will he ever get his license back? And will it make any difference to boxing?

I know this is a cliched sentence, but "I thought I knew my boxing before I joined these forums". Dominic Negus is not licenced? Why?

Incidently, I think the answer to the latter part in No - might have a bearing at English title level, but that is about all.

Dominic Negus lost his licence because he tested positive for steroids after his fight with Audley Harrison. I believe he also failed to attend the BBBC hearing on this matter.

The last I heard of Negus was about a year ago he fought and won on points over 4/6 rounds against a Kick-Boxer on a unlicenced card I think Essex way. I heard he looked about 18st.

Oh well in light of KOJOE's information, I would say NO to the first part aswell - he might be able to get his licence back, but it doesn't appear that he wants it.

Negus was a character all right, he gave Audley a few problems but was always happy to just survive the fight, when Audley hit him while down Negus found some energy from somewhere to run up and direct a butt in Aud's direction. :P His post match interview was good too...telling us how he loves a scrap and was off to the pub for a beer and a fight, classic :TU:
