You can ask him yourself mate.bollocks wrote:He's been retired for a few years now. For someone who claimed he disliked boxing it's hard to imagine him being involved in the sport in any way shape or form
I imagine him swanning around Brighton all day inspecting the place while wearing riding jodphers and wearing a monacle - what's he doing with himself, anyone know?

Of course there has been alot of rumours about financial problems and a one-off bout (for awesome money). However, personally I don't believe them - Eubank is extravengant, but IMO is an intelligent person who KNOWS the value of money - This might sound like a shocking statement, but IMO Eubank's feet are firmly on the ground. He might lead and extrordinary lifestyle, but I think he can afford it.
I do think he misses the sport (many of the things he talked about in his documentary was who he was a fighter - quite the opposite to his early interviews). I also wouldn't be at all surprise if he made a comeback, but a more serious one than rumoured - he loves that limelight too much.

He is 38 although he looks in good shape. Who would you match him with and at what weight?stujones wrote:Of course there has been alot of rumours about financial problems and a one-off bout (for awesome money). I think a come back at light -heavyweight would be best although I just can't see it happening.

I think should Eubank comeback it would probably be a Cruiserweight - after his showings against Thompson, he would have loved to have seen Eubank challenge Nelson. I think as Nelson isn't quite as physically strong as Thompson it would have been a very intriguing fight.
I think there are a few old stagers who still compete at a high level who Eubank would probably compete with - the likes of Hill, Lalonde, and Thompson would be intriguing.
I would give Eubank and outside chance of beating Tiozzo at Light Heavyweight also. I don't think it will happen, although I wouldn't be surprised - he never did formally retire.
I watched all of the Eubank docu soap - if you a fan of his style and find him funny then I recommend buying the DVD - I don't think a new series has been commisioned. It was a funny show (IMO). It was on At home with the Eubanks where he seemed to be discussing his old proffesion with great enjoyment and pride - he sounded like he missed it dearly.

Did you not watch the Gladiator program featuring Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank? It was originally showed a good while ago and has since been repeated a few times.Boxingmad wrote:Imagine if he got back in the ring with Benn! Wow! Could anyone see it happening. They'd have to both be paid an absolute fortune.

yeah i saw outside the hammersmith apollo before christmas... black hummer, got the 1 KO number plate, so presumably he has seen sense and got rid of that huge truck for something more economical!!!!Ulysses wrote:He now drives the same car as a certain Paul Spadafora, yep – a Hummer.
LOL , Eubank must be the only guy in the world who looks for a more economical car and gets a 10mpg hummer

Overpriced, over-engined, over-the-top ecological disasters. I still want one, mind.
