Billy Dibb vs Jackson Asiku when will this happen?

Post by Hounddawg »

These 2 guys are the best Featherweights in the country, when will we see them square off?

I think Dib wins this UD. And then he can say he has cleaned up his own backyard.

I think Asiku needs this to jump start his career again.

Hope the right people get together to make this happen.

What are peoples thoughts?

Good fight, I think its a 50/50 fight. Dib would probably be the favorite though.

Do any of you have Jackson's current contact info? I've been trying to contact him but the two numbers he gave me don't seem to work anymore...either that or he's out of the country.

Asiku has (had?) the skills to beat Dib. I think it would be a good fight. Will it happen? I don't know...

looks like hounddog is heading down the same path as lowie/liver crusher!!!! :o

i haven't seen much of asiku but i must say that i was impressed by dibs work rate and skills against davey browne last time out. would be hard to handle if he performs like that again but that is where the good boxers come to the fore by performing every fight. :box:

Asiku has a fight coming up against St Clair on the Green /Vand Nierkierk card. There is another thread about it.

I think Asiku has outgrown featherweight.

I don't agree. His weight has yo-yoed for the past 8 years. 2 fights ago (o.k. that was over 12 months ago) he was at 125.5. I sure he can still manage FW

Mate Jackson certainly hasn't outgrown featherweight, he was ment to fight Thomas Mashaba last year at 122 on the proposed channel ten card. He walks around at about 61kg so I don't think the weight would be a drama.

Asiku would've torn Dibb's head off 2 years ago but the inactivity is definatky gonna cause a few problems. I think he will beat St Clair in the rematch, I actually still believe he won the first fight. If he wins impressivly over Gairy I think that will pave the way for a sho at Dibb.

i like asiku, i think hes a good domestic fighter, but i give st claire a great chance in this fight
maybe im bias cos i've always been a big st claire fan, but i think he will outclass him. hes still a very good fighter at hes right weight
btw what weight is this fight gonna be at

if dib and asiku fight in the near future, id be very surprised if dib doesnt beat him very convincingly, but then again im a big dib fan as well

I think Dib wins this regardless of the outcome of the St Claire fight, i don't think St Claire has much to offer anymore IMO. Hope i'm wrong!
