You can gouge and bite away but you gotta get in to do that. A skilled and I mean skilled Jie Jitsu fighter would have a better chance maybe, but just being tough/ dirty doesn't cut it. Calzaghe's tough as well....of, aside from the small point also that you ain't ever seen him in a streetfight so how do you know.

Plus his timing and speed would compensate for what you perceive as a "lack of power". Calzaghe would be a nightmare in the street. I'd run a fckin mile and try to hide in a bin before I got too tired.

running and hiding a no no. Well yeah I agree but then the chances I would end up pissing Joe Calzaghe off to the point it would result in a barny are billions to one considering I've never met the guy and I don't go round getting in fights.

I haven't been hit by Calzaghe either but I saw him deck Eubank twice and smash up Mark Delaney so bad he looked like he'd been hit by a train. That was enough to convince me he could punch. He could hit very hard before his hands went. He still threw the slaps, but hidden amongst them were real bombs in those days.

OK so how the hell do you no if i have ever sparred with Calzaghe? I havcen't for the record but I have sparred and trained with numerous world/european/and british champs.

Hall is a chinny banger who is very much British level at best .. Calzaghe, like him or loathe him is/was a genuine world class fighter with world class punch and chin ... no contest

I think teddy is making the point that street fighting and boxing are completely different and I agree with him, I've seen some monsters on the street but that doesn't mean they'd do much in a boxing ring, some will but not many. Also you can see somebody like Tyson as top dog on the street but on the other hand could you put Wladimir Klitschko in the same scenario?

Yeah they are completely different but to say he would take Calzaghe in a street fight is a bit of a joke is it not ? Calzaghe would hit you to fast with to many accurate punches, in my and everyone else who posts on here opinion.

Lads this is not a effing video game it's boxing, and Calzaghe, whether you like him or not, is regarded as a modern great of the sport in Britain.

Hall has done eff all bar beat Pryce.

Joe is the only boxer to do that technique, he does on Hall and Hall's down.

Hall's probably a mouthy bugger. You don't offer people outside over a little arguement.

Plus Joe would never lose to someone who was sparked by Conception in a round.

most 'anything goes' fights end up with both guys grappling so the winner will be the best one at MMA style fighting rather than boxing. It doesn't how good your right-hook is if the other guy's squeezing your balls.

well Joe's chin and punch aren't that good. They will always look better when matched safe. And still his punch looked fairly weak, and his not so great as seen in the last 2 fights.
