Errol Christie springs to mind, also a few years ago in a similar mold Michael Olajide.

I would list Howard Davis, Jr. and Gerry Cooney.
Davis had real talent. Olympic gold on the same '76 team as Leonard and the Spinks brothers, but he never won a title. came close, witin seconds, against rosario but kockdown turned the decision away. Cooney was hurt by all the publicity around his challenge to Holmes. He really lacked the seasoning to take on Holmes. Gerry had a ton of heart, but his management was more interested in making a spectacle of him.
