Naz was one of the guys who hooked me onto watching more boxing from being a casual fan previously..but he definently should not come back, he had his chance and glory plus the money. It was obvious the guy had no desire left in him in the Barerra fight and the one after.. I hated him for his ridicilous entrances and disrespect of opponents at time and loved the way he fought , reflex based..he was one of a kind but I think his sheart broke after the barerra fight and combined with lack of motivation he did the right thing and quit.. We can extrapolate say that a Naz with fire still in his belly and Ingle in his corner would have beaten Barerra or given a better account but we have to go by facts, he got schooled. It was alos the first time he faced someone elite IMO and did not have a plan from what I could see..he thought his power will take him through...

why Amir Khan?? Are you saying we've got Arab looking boxer, why do we need two?? Or are you basing your comparison on a SINGLE other factor aside from similar appearance.

If you were you could have said a young Kevin Mitchell, Don Broadhurst Paul Appleby, or whoever.

Hamed's ego proved to be so fragile that Barrera ruined him as a fighter. I can't see how that same ego would let him get into a ring years past his best without the reflexes that made him so formidable. And I can't see him regaining the work ethic it would take to get into even half-decent shape.

it's about the full package though isn't it.

Skill, fitness, power, determination, tactics. You need all 5 and Barrera brought them , Naz didn't. For me Barrera goes down as the better of the two in history books.

Comparisons between Naz and Khan are lazy at worst; I don't really see them as sinister. It's the same sort of thing as white American heavyweights getting compared to Gerry Cooney et al.

Williams told the Sun, however, that the group could get back together within months, saying: ``Let's see what happens, but my head's in the right place, so the timing could be right if (bandmate) Gary (Barlow) calls.''
Take That would be following a well-trodden path if they get back together, after a surge of nostalgia comebacks including the Spice Girls, the Police, the Sex Pistols, Blur, Spandau Ballet and Led Zeppelin.

There's another point: the 22 year old Naz was way, way better. And you're right, to a certain degree, about white fighters, or Asian-looking fighters being grouped together. It's natural to compare, because they have the same skin colour, which might stand out from the norm. However, I do think we should be ultra careful about succuming to grouping fighters together based on race in that way. It's the slippery path to racial stereotyping.
