Close fight that, if King had a bit more of a winning mentality I think he could have got that one, instead he was trying to steal the fight. Anderson looked limited on tonight's showing.

Anderson went to hospital after the fight, not sure if he broke his hand, but something went badly wrong, i seen him going out and he looked in a lot of pain, seemed to be limping?, was a bad performance though, i thought he had King going in the second.

To be fair I've done a few bits with Kenny and he's a lot better than he shown last night..I personally think he needs a consistent trainer to get the best out of him..I must say though that he dug deep last night and showed he's willing to stick it out when the going get's tough!! :box:

Anderson broke a rib in the sixth round apparently, explains the drop in his work rate and all things considered he did ok to get through thought he derserved the verdict on his early work and it was not far from being over in the 2nd to be honest.

King may have got him out of there if he had realised but clearly did not know as he threw few body shots late on

I'v spoke to kenny's mate this morning, The broken rib happened in the 4th but he didnt tell Powell till the 6th, then in the 8th (when he pulled powell right up to his face well in the corner), Powell was wanting to pull him out, but Kenny was having none of it, he's been at hospital and it's one of his big rib's that is broken, Kenny has asked Warren to offer King a rematch as soon as he's given the ok to fight as he feel's he gave a terrible showing of himself last night, i dont know why though i mean to fight 6 rounds with a broken rib shows a huge amount of heart and if that hadnt happened i think Anderson would have stopped King, who was nearly away in the 2nd.

That is a proper fighter getting a tough fight instead of running and never fighting him again hes giving him a rematch and having a broken rib since the 4th

Would have been interesting if Anderson had of been in with McGuire instead last night. What happened there anyway?

Maguire pulled out without giving reason and vacated his title, That is a fight i would like to see, dont think Maguire was keen on it before last night, but having seen Anderson not at his best he may well fancy it now.

Maybe McGuire has irons in other fires, or maybe he just bottled it. Who knows.

Well to be fair, it hasn't been that long since he took a beating at the hands of Magee. He was beaten pretty badly there - I am guessing he would like a couple of easy ones.

Anderson looks WAY to slow to make it.King was much more looser and beating him to the punch far often, just didn't have the hunger to win it.

I thought Kenny looked good till he didn't take King out of it in the 3rd. He seemed to get a bit disheartened.
Maybe he did hurt his hand, but Kenny certainly needs to improve his work to the body, think if he did that he would of won more easily.
All in all though a very good learning fight for him, better than knocking someone over in a round or 2. Nathan King doesn't roll over for anyone, so the fight going to points wasn't unexpected

ive been bumming about Anderson since i met him in Cardiff few years ago
he looked the biz in his first few fights.
Last night was struggle though , if the hurt ribs story is true then cant argue

looked a bit one dimentional though .

Sure he will sort that out for next showing
