Re: Mersey Beatdown - *Spoilers*
Makes such a difference having a real fan like Bunce fronting the weekly show, talks about all the fights, unlike the surreal shows the muppets at Sky used to put on, ignoring anything they don't show.
Getting those clips from other channels takes some doing as well.

Re: Mersey Beatdown - *Spoilers*
Exactly, Buncey is a fan and knows his stuff plus he adds a bit of charisma with his down to earth style. On a sidenote the atmosphere seems a bit flat in the arena. The MC bellowed "British Title" to try and rouse the fans and was met with an eerie silence
Re: Mersey Beatdown - *Spoilers*
Sly Sports a wankers. It is such class for him and Setanta to do promote other fiths and shows. Bunce is fantastic, speaks from the heart and has genuine passion, doesn't manufacture it and read from the screen.MightyWarrior wrote:Makes such a difference having a real fan like Bunce fronting the weekly show, talks about all the fights, unlike the surreal shows the muppets at Sky used to put on, ignoring anything they don't show.

Richie Woodhall beat me to it but I was thinking that Quigley doesn't appear in tip-top shape. Dodson looks ripped.
Re: Mersey Beatdown - *Spoilers*
Quigley should aim for the body and he can stop Dodson!!
Dodson dropped in the second and badly cut.

Re: Mersey Beatdown - *Spoilers*
I know everyone says they are in tip top shape, but Dodson really did seem to come across very assured of himself pre fight. There was something about it the way he came across i thought he would actually win this, especcially when he came in ripped and Quigley looks a touch fleshy.
Surprised how the second round went.

Re: Mersey Beatdown - *Spoilers*
John Watson looked good. Needs to get his stamina sorted for 10 rounders though.
David Price looked really good. Leagues above Tyson Fury. Price also needs to sort out his stamina, though.

Re: Mersey Beatdown - *Spoilers*
Hope this doesn't finish early, it could turn into a great scrap!
Re: Mersey Beatdown - *Spoilers*
Quigley should go downstairs - Dodson clearly HATES it to the body.
Is that Paul Ince in the crowd?

Richie "Believe You Me" Woodhall is enjoying himself anyway.

Wasn't shown was it. I was hoping they might sneak it in after the Dodson fight.REAL_DEAL wrote:surpised that no one has mentioned derry matthews getting stopped again, not sure if it was a cut or not.
Re: Mersey Beatdown - *Spoilers*
Didn't realise Derry was stopped again. He's suddenly become ultra-fragile.
Fair play to Quigley to be still in it after ten rounds; I thought he was a wee fatty but his conditioning must be sound enough.

Interesting how George Groves is viewed as a top prospect.
Whats peoples thoughts on Travis Dickinson bearing in mind he beat Groves twice in the amateurs??
I ask because I am a Gateshead boy and the fact that Maloney has signed both of the Dickinsons has caused a few ripples up here

Re: Mersey Beatdown - *Spoilers*
Frigging hell Quigley nearly has Dodson going again in the eleventh. The body for f**k sake, hunt the body!!! Everytime Tony lands there, Dodson wilts.

Cracking fight, Dodson down
Re: Mersey Beatdown - *Spoilers*
Jesus, Dodson down twice in the 12th.
Re: Mersey Beatdown - *Spoilers*
what a fight, thought Dodson was gonna win that
Re: Mersey Beatdown - *Spoilers*
What a war. Dodson stopped in the 12th, face a bloody, battered mess. Quigley showed great stamina, even with a flabby tummy
