Yeah TW! :D Where's Tez though?

Anyways; here are the Montana Golden Gloves results, Rocky Mountain regionals are next weekend:

119 Matt Ludwig, ECBC
125 Anthony Lapier, ECBC
132 Duran Caferro, H-Town
141 Matt Skaw, Hamilton
165 Steaphan Clement, Bozeman
178 John Jay Mount, Ft. Belknap

Overall, we have a much more experienced team this year, lot of guys moving up from JOs and the returning runner-up at last years Golden Gloves; along with Mount, who just came back from a long lay off but has about 100 fights.

Tez lost to David Grayton last week. Good fight, but he didn't work quite enough. He lost 3-2, but if he hadn't been penalized for slapping (I don't think it was warranted and he's never been penalized for that in 6 yrs I've been around) he would have won 4-1. Yeah, that's how close it was. Well try again next year.

Good luck to you and the rest of your guys.

The 2009 KC Golden Gloves Team is set. There were two uncontested divisions (106 and 178).

106 No Entry
112 Thomas Huitt-Johnson (Walk-Over)
119 Cedric Patterson (Walk-Over)
125 Chad Peeler (Walk-Over)
132 Arris Dawkins - defeated Jose Saenz
141 Alemeo Carter - defeated Drew Hartman
152 Dillon Cook - defeated Tyler Smith
165 Ray Rivera - defeated Colt Caselman
178 No Entry
201 Seth Benedict - defeated Josh Rubio
201+ Lenroy Thompson - defeated Toure Biggins

There were a few upsets as Jose Saenz and Josh Rubio did not make it to nationals. Rubio had a personal issue and could not box. Anyways, this team looks very different from the past as there are only two boxers from last years team on this years and those two are in different weight divisions.

Anybody think any winners here? I hear good things about Lenroy Thompson, who just moved here from Florida but suppose to be decent. I think Rivera and Huitt-Johnson also have good shots at placing.

No Dennis Michael Bissett didnt compete in the Southern G.G. this years - i dont know what his status is.

no real upsets - Michael Finney last years national J.O. champ at 132 beat Jared Robinson who is currently ranked #3 . - I kind of expected that though.

Finney and Charles Watson will hold there own at the nationals.
106 and 132 - there young but there up and coming..

Any results for the Florida GG, Kansas-OK GG, St. Louis GG or the Tri-state GG? I believe all 4 of them have completed their tournaments, but I haven't seen the results.

I am interested in seeing pictures or video of the Louisiana Golden gloves competition in Lafayette, Louisiana in March 2009. Does anyone know where I could find this information? I am also interested in seeing the competition of the masters division. In this division, I believe it was won by 74 year old Charlie Richard, 49 year old Ronald Guidry and 49 year old Tommy LeBlanc. Is this correct?
