PREDICTION LEAGUE - WEEK FOUR - FINAL RESULTS

Post by Quixall »

THE PREDICTION LEAGUE WEEK 4 (Final Results)

In association with the Steve Bunce Boxing Hour.
podcast available to download from http://www.setanta.com or itunes

The prize: The prize will be for the predictor with the most combined points for March, April and May. Steve Bunce has promised to put up a prize and when I know what it is I will break the news. Rumour is it will be some signed gloves

Thank you to everyone for playing. The scores will be updated at the end of every weekend by Myself and Quixall and from the April will be in a league format. The league format doesn’t make that much difference to who gets the prize but makes things more interesting and fun. At the moment we have 40 players which will be split into 4 divisions at the end of this month and from then relegation and promotion will come into play with a 3up 3 down system. This will be enforced at the end of each month and who ever lies at the top of the league will crowned P4P king which wins nothing apart from bragging rights. Of course those who lie in their respected leagues in the bottom or top 3 positions will also move up and down accordingly. Any new players next month will automatically start in the bottom division. This may seem a bit mad but it works and makes the prediction league more fun so bear with us.
Thanks
BigMark & Quixall

Congratulations to Chambers who is the first p4p king of this new UK section prediction league, here on Boxrec. Thanks for taking part and rom next month, the league system will come into operation. The divisions are now set, but bare in mind that dependant upon the number of newcomers, you could find yourself in a higher division from the start of next month. We are expecting up to 60 or more posters by the start of April and 15 or more of those will be newcomers, who will start in the bottom division. Instead of the divisions being made up of 10 posters, they will be made up of 15 posters, so that will stretch the divisions, hence you may not be in the division that is currently stated.....

Lets here it for .......CHAMBERS2......Our new p4p King !!!!! :D

For someone who's "knowledge stretches back three decades," is doing pretty badly here.

I mean, even his best mate Hitman Hatton is doing better.

Statistics don't lie.

it looks like now we will have more than we did on the other site. The problem with the league on doghouse was it was a lot of americans in league which meant we could include a lot of decent UK small hall stuff as they would of lost interest. With a bit of luck we should get 60 and then can have 4 divisions of 15 :D I will get in touch with Buncey this week and chase up the prize. He has mentioned some signed Gloves but forgot to ask Froch when he was in a few weeks back but we will get something as Buncey is one of the good guys and came through for me last time we ran the league.
I'll send you my address Mark.......

Froch's gloves hung up.....Now where should i put them

Its about who`s tops after 3mths ... the prize :TU:

Chambers seems to have a very healthy lead at the top .. but as was demonstrated in my case - one bad week will make all the difference :witzend:

But explain, you're this self-acclaimed 'king' (I just laugh at that, but what the hell) and you're doing awfully bad in this prediction league. Could it be, the egotistical DG is proven to be all mouth? It certainly looks that way, you twazzock.
