Yep, Nino. That was obviously too easy. Okay, here's another. He lost only one of his first 65 fights. He won only 26 of his next 49.
He was a WBC champion.

It's not easy this. He had that fantastic early run which culminated in a WBC title - then became an 'opponent' in the last few years of his career.

This was a tough one but since your first question was about a middleweight I think this one also could be someone that fourght around middlewight, perhaps Ralph Dupas?

Cheers, Kev. How about this one. He went unbeaten in his first 35 fights and picked up a WBA title. He lost the WBA title in his first defence, then failed in an attempt to win it back from the same man.
They remain his only two losses. He went unbeaten in his last 17 fights and retired.

Stecca. I only know because i was trawling the little guy archives yesterday, and i happened to notice that there were loads of fighters that lost in their first defence. I must confess i'd never heard of this guy though.

Im gonna pop a vessel trying to figure this one out. Any other hints? Did he have any fights in between his lost defence and the attempt to regain it?
