They are the two hottest prospects in the UK right now at heavyweight, so imo, they need to get it the fornicate on before someone gets too big of a head and the match never comes off. Least Fury is scheduled for two fights next month, I dont see Price making any sort of effort to make a battle in Britain, like Lewis did with countrymen Mason and Bruno.

I doubt that. It took Price 3 rounds to take out Ingleby, who by all accounts is a grade A bum, and he was rocked by Ingleby as well. Fury-Price would be a hell of a fight, and I believe Fury would win it.

If Ingleby is a bum, what about the guys Fury has fought?

Price knocked out the world No 1 at the Olympics, a top Russian. Fury has fought fat old men and blown up cruiserweights and hasn't knocked any of them out.

The class gap between these two is so enormous, it's ridiculous. And do you really think Mick Hennessy wants it to happen. They paid Fury a hefty signing on fee and it would be a disaster if they risked him getting beaten. All they are doing is calling out guys who they know they won't fight.
If Fury really was keen to fight Price, he would be offering to fight on a Hayemaker bill, not offering Price an opponent's slot on an undercard at the York Hall.

It looked like Price wanted to get a couple of rounds in, to be honest. Fury/Price needs to be built up to maximise the amount of money they can make. Neither guy will want the other yet, no matter what you hear from Hennessy Sports.

Professional boxing is a business, Tyson has had countless threads on this forum, loads of column inches in the tabloids, and TV exposure on both BBC and ITV.

If he wasn't running his mouth off, would he of got half of that exposure?

As for pressers, why not release one letting people know, including the fighter, a) if John Murray will ever fight again b) who it will be against and c) if it will take place sometime this year.

Really, so how do you explain the fact that I caught you hiding in my wardrobe last night?

Personally I have not heard anything about him jumping ship, Hennessy has a proven record when it comes to getting guys up the ladder, albeit slowly, so why move?

Then again the guy has not fought since Jan, has nothing on the horizon, aside from a vague promise that he will fight in early May, five weeks away, with no date or description coming through. To answer NEBF if May rolls around without the guy fighting it will be five months since his last bout, and we know what Murray thinks of that scenario.

Heavyweights make the news, but Fury has a presser released every few days, Murray, out of all of Mick's fighters, has to rely on the proactive stance of trainer Joe Gallagher to keep his name out there, if he is looking to jump ship then Mick will lose a decent British champion, and for what? To build up a non-punching heavyweight? The stable needs title holders in order to keep its TV deal, I assume, they have lost Thaxton and Elcock, they should be trying to keep Murray happy.

Should Murray continue to stick with a promoter who could not make a dual title bout against Jon Thaxton when British boxing was screaming for it?

Murray's contract up in July - he will sign with Hatton. Hatton will have Sky dates next season
