Has been confirmed as Matthew Ellis. Thoughts? Not bad for 5th pro fight.

It'll be his first clean kayo.

The size difference will be positively Valuevian.

They're flying Ellis out to the states? Or are they squeezing another fight in?

Ellis is a bit like Lee Swaby- a decent experienced pro, but an easy enough win for Tyson.

It probably will be a comfortable enough win for Tyson and I think they are matching him correctly. He has a lot of time on his side and is still a novice, he needs these learning fights

There was once a lot of hope for Mathew Ellis about 12 yeas ago.
I remember seeing a clip of him tipping cars over in training :)
If Ellis could get into any sort of shape or mindset he may have a very slight chance.
What with Fury smacking himself in his own mouth as well :DDD

Ellis usually gives it a go in the first couple of round.
I'm still awaiting what happens when Fury gets punched back

No way does he punch harder than Enzo. I dont even like enzo but you cant deny he can punch at a certain level.

Fury has impressed me with his body punching , and thats where Ellis is weakest.
Still for a 4 fight novice its a good match.

Ellis has no ambition left whatsoever
Hes there just for the payday...
He will be looking for a way out after 1-2rounds..

Wy would Ellis turn down a 40-year-old cruiserweight Terry Dunstan and then accept a fight against an absolute giant heavyweight Tyson Fury?

more wonge..dunstan would be on a small hall show undercard......for £1500... and the fury fight would be live on itv for £5000.

now ....... im not an accountant, but even i can work it out... 8)

Ellis is a very good opponent for Fury at the moment - I don't think anyone should complain about that. He's fighting every few weeks against decent opponents for his development. It's not often we see fighters like Fury progressing this fast - long may it continue.

I doubt Ellis will be getting that much. If anything, it will be closer to the first figure (1.5). Nobody's going to pay someone like Ellis 5K for a fight like this. Not with the lack of money in boxing nowadays anyway.

The Macca win over Ellis takes some shine off this one.
