Come on David, biggest Brit fight of the year this 1 would be great to have a HW champ again. It looks like Haye has made all the concessions to make the fight, Wlad takes all the money from HBO, Live Crowd, Worldwide TV rights and part of the Setanta money and gets to decide Haye's next 2 fights after this 1. Hopefully he gets starched for being boring in the ring and Warren outside of it

I'll believe it when I see a member of Hayemaker saying it on TV. There's been too many websites claiming this is dead, alive, dead (inc ESPN). Been resurrected more times than Jesus!

Hopefully Bunce's show will have something on it.

I can't afford to miss this. :box:

AND!

He agreed to options. K2 will prmote Haye's next two fights if he wins. And those fights would be against both Klitsckos. So, if Haye wins, he either has an immediate rematch, or a fight against Vitaliy, after which, he would fight the other.

Yikes!

He's going to be all Klitchko-ed out.

Great news, though.

I think Haye can do it, I really do.

I think both Klitschkos are there to be had by someone with a punch, some head movement, and some decent footwork and fitness.

whether David is that man, I don't know, but I think he might have just enough to bomb out Wlad.

It's good to hear the fight is fianlly on, but it doesn't look like Haye got a very good deal out of it. Klitschko get's most of the money and his team get a two fight option on Haye. :-? I hope he bangs Wlad out early and sends out a message to big brother.

Vitali is WBC champion
haye is on his 3rd fight at heavy (bonin and Barrett) and ex WBC,WBA and WBO cruiser champ, he has no heavyweight belt so he needed to make consessions to get the opportunity. haye doesnt desserve the fight but i hope he wins

It better be on in Berlin. I booked a flight and flat for there weeks ago. Otherwise I'll be watching it in a bar there, which would be weird. Still, worse places to be out and about in. Like Doncaster.

I'm sure EXACTLY the same poster would criticise Warren for holding on to his fighters, and demanding 50-50 splits to get the big fights.

Bottom line: you have to roll the dice and be willing to compromise to get the big fights.

Otherwise, you end of crying your whole life about boxing 'politics'.

Whatever you think of Haye, he has guts.

So if Haye keeps winning, he'll be facing the Klitschkos for his next three fights! ha that's pretty funny- NO WAY are they letting that title go outside of Germany for long.
I'm surprised the 3rd option doesn't call for him to face Son Of Klitschko, just in case

You can imagine the 2 Klits talking.
you bash him up if you can and if not then i will and then you can try again.
That is all good but its not how it should be.
They are tying all the title fights up for over a year for themselves and they shouldnt be allowed to do that.
They hold the title they dont own it.

You and me both Lenny. It's a fantastic fight venue. Saw Klit-Peter there. Not a bad view anywhere. Though you can guarantee the undercard will be weaker than Granny's tea, unless some of the Hayemaker stable get on it.

I think haye will do a Corrie Saunders on him -will hit too hard and too fast for him.Early doors.I actually like Wlad but I think having options on Haye afterwards is a bit greedy, and bullyish.

Haye is my favourite fighter. Explosive, talented, with real promise. Does things the right way, for the good of boxing. Him and Mick Hennessey are what's right with British boxing today.

As to the fight, it's great that it's on. It's unfortunate that the fight really has no way of lasting very long or being really conclusive one way or the other. As far as I'm concerned, if Haye lands first, he wins. If Klit lands first, he wins. It may be that if Haye lands first, Wlad goes into his shell and makes it easier for Haye. If Wlad lands first however, it could be brutally over right away. In this fight, Wlad should be slightly favoured just because of that scenario, plus his height and reach advantages.

I desperate hope Haye wins this fight.

Totally agree, I just think it's a bit unfair that he had to give up the options as well. The sort of demands Klitschko's team have made are the sort of demands that stop so many fights from happening.
