Just posting a link and saying nothing about it yourself is pretty lame. At least take a quote from the link.Martin Rogan will fight Sam Sexton of Norwich in the first defence of his Commonwealth heavyweight title at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast on 15 May.
Hometown hero Rogan, 37, claimed the title by stopping European champion Matt Skelton in Birmingham on 1 March.
Like Rogan, Sexton, 24, is a previous winner of the Prizefighter tournament and has won 11 of his 12 fights.

I'm happy with a link. I didn't know about this fight, and now I do. Sorted!Horse wrote:Just posting a link and saying nothing about it yourself is pretty lame. I like the way the article mentions he won his title on March 1st which is, technically, correct.
Tickets for the fight will cost between £30 and £150 but promoter allegedly allegedly allegedly allegedly says he is confident that the attendance will approach the arena's 10,000 capacity.
Good luck to him! I think it will do well, but can't see it selling out.

Have to agree there. He looked ok against Chisora, but wilted a bit late on.billy bessey wrote:roagie eats the jab for 4-5 rounds then stops him in 6-8
Re: martin rogan first defence
Should be some heavy leather swapped between these two.
I don't think Sexton is ready for 10-12 rounders yet against hard nuts like Martin. Sam has the better boxing but I can't seem him holding it together over 12 rounds. Rogan by stoppage.

Sexton seems to be doing the right thing concerning his training, who was the guy in this weeks BN? he's Sextons conditioner
Re: martin rogan first defence
rogan will win easy...ko7
Re: martin rogan first defence
I really rate Sexton. I think he could give Rogan a lot of problems with the jab early on, and then perhaps wear Sexton down. I wouldn't be surprised to see Rogan behind on points when, and if, he finally gets to Sexton.mossy141 wrote:rogan will win easy...ko7

agree mate, when this was announced i immediately thought of Sexton at least outboxing him in the early going. late rounds will be interesting, though.....Dioufy wrote:I really rate Sexton. I agree there, mate. Rogan has a good chance of being out-boxed, and more importantly, out-pointed here.
I assume it's ten rounds, if it is, then I am going for a close Sexton UD.
Although, against Audley and Skelton I went for those two, so ignore me.
