FROCH-TAYLOR A TRIPLE HEADER
Re: FROCH-TAYLOR A TRIPLE HEADER
Sigh this country annoys me Ricky Hatton can defend the WBU title 16 times and be on television for all of them and someone who wins british commonwealth and then the WBC title can't get TV coverage. Its no wonder fighters end up taking that tired cynical rout!
Re: FROCH-TAYLOR A TRIPLE HEADER
I'd like to see Tyson Fury in with a big guy (tall and strong, not fat). He is on the bill: http://www.boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=572165BIGMARK wrote:i would imagine Tyson Fury will be on the bill somewhere fighting tomato can (as he should at this stage)
2006 Golden Gloves champion Edwin "La Bomba" Rodriguez is also on the bill.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe Mister Hennessey is asking for too much money?josh fg wrote:Sigh this country annoys me Ricky Hatton can defend the WBU title 16 times and be on television for all of them and someone who wins british commonwealth and then the WBC title can't get TV coverage. This is going to be on at 4 in the morning though. Obviously, I hope it's shown, but with Froch not being a huge star, I can understand why there's not been a rush to acquire the rights.josh fg wrote:Sigh this country annoys me Ricky Hatton can defend the WBU title 16 times and be on television for all of them and someone who wins british commonwealth and then the WBC title can't get TV coverage. Last snippet of info I read was Hennessey was trying to get SKY to take it as a PPV - Some people might not be so happy when they have to shell out £15 to watch the fight.
Re: FROCH-TAYLOR A TRIPLE HEADER
yeah especially as hatton v pacman is ppv the week after. i hope froch is not ppv. it might well come down to a choice between the two for alot of people if froch is ppv as well.Twinkle Toes wrote:Exactly.Maxime wrote:Did you ever stop to think that maybe Mister Hennessey is asking for too much money?josh fg wrote:Sigh this country annoys me Ricky Hatton can defend the WBU title 16 times and be on television for all of them and someone who wins british commonwealth and then the WBC title can't get TV coverage. You are probably right - but this is just typical of Sky and Setanta to push to the last moment - offer a last minute thing when Hennessy will have to accept - it will happen I am sure but clearly Hennessy needs the media on side??Maxime wrote:Did you ever stop to think that maybe Mister Hennessey is asking for too much money?josh fg wrote:Sigh this country annoys me Ricky Hatton can defend the WBU title 16 times and be on television for all of them and someone who wins british commonwealth and then the WBC title can't get TV coverage. Did Taylor come over here for a press conference to generate any interest - I cant remember - if not - bad move by Hennessy!!!
Re: FROCH-TAYLOR A TRIPLE HEADER
Boxrec is now listing Paulie Malignagi and Dominick Guinn as fighting on this bill. Guinn's opponent is unbeaten but I don't recognise any of the names on his record

Re: FROCH-TAYLOR A TRIPLE HEADER
damn it, Forrest's fight has been moved back a week and off this bill
Re: FROCH-TAYLOR A TRIPLE HEADER
Yeah, and that's the problem: Too many people cry their eyes out when a big fight isn't on TV, but then moan and whinge when it's on PPV.Twinkle Toes wrote:Exactly.Maxime wrote:Did you ever stop to think that maybe Mister Hennessey is asking for too much money?josh fg wrote:Sigh this country annoys me Ricky Hatton can defend the WBU title 16 times and be on television for all of them and someone who wins british commonwealth and then the WBC title can't get TV coverage. I would rather have the choice to see a great fight like this on PPV then not at all. If they can only make it economically viable on PPV, then it's better than no TV at all.
