suggestion for a "hybrid" tournament. Put in all the names you want. When I don't have the names in the inventory we decide by vote who is to go forward....when the names ARE available we let the mighty Univac call it. I think the mix will make it more interesting.

How's that for compromise that leads to a diverse yet quality eclectic mix of determined outcomes?

The guy who can balance 9 dustbins on his head at one time. The link is on that thread about the bare knuckle brawlers. Please check it out and let me know if he is in or out. If he's out I want to nominate Tugboat instead.

Bare knucklers and wrestlers and 'dustbin' need not apply.

tbh, I dunno what the total number of men in this tournament are.

and yeah, once a fighter loses, they are out, and the winner moves on.

Ok.

If you like mate...I can have a crack at running the sims.
I will make it as honest as possible (holmes winner ;))
and will post results, weights at weigh in and brief info
on each bout.

BUT....I will need some data on a couple of fighters. I
will list those ones when you have the final tally...

Don't be so hasty, young man.

Rufus is still putting together the panel of 'experts' who will decide such things.

Remember, this tournament isn't going to be 'bullshit' like the other two!

Now now gents...

if I run the sim it will be as accurate and honest as
possible.

No agenda here (holmes winner) :P

in all seriousness...I would be happy to run an honest
sim...

if you gents set up rules of tourny...ie how long between
bouts...2mths ?
gloves...3 knock down..etc...

Henry..
give me the full list and ill let you know...
most likely some of the gypsie folk :P

His involvement will be good for the tournament, Rufus.

I want him on the committee as Entertainments Officer!

That be the case Kym, this list would grow to gigantic proportions. You know how many men just during WW2 claimed parts of the HW title? You know how many Commonwealth HW champions there have been?

How about we do the list we got now, and then afterwards, arrange like a 'Top HW Contender' tournament with all the HW contenders from Sullivan to the present day. The top ten for each year?

Btw, London Prize Ring is out, this is a straight Marquis of Queensbury tournament, because I dont think TitleBout or whatever software you may be using would have London Prize Ring guys in it, and if they did, the clash in styles and rules is so vast that I think it would be unfair.

12 round bouts, except for the final match of the tournament, that will be 15 rounds

I was hoping 8 ounce gloves, but if that's an issue, make it 10 ounces

No three knock down rule

Cannot be saved by the bell at any time

Two months inbetween bouts (least on the computer sim) is fine

IM using the probox3200 simulator. Pretty sophisticated.

I was kidding bout the Commonwealth etc guys ;)

Linear...
ABC...
Coloured..(basically as legit as many ABCs)
CW (seeing as a good chunk of HWs in tourny are this weight anyhow)

would make a good tourny

what you think ?

Kym ainst using no stinking title bout software, Rufus.

He has a custom written system that allows at least 200 variables to be entered for each contestant.

And because we don't want any bullshit or baloney we need to get the 200 variables for all 92 contestants as soon as possible.

So get cracking young man.

Can you use Excel? We need a huge spreadsheet for the 92 men and the 200 variables and the votes for each variable for each man. I think an average of the first 10 posters input for each variable would be fair. What do you reckon?

If I told you that I know 'people' that have the ability to abduct
these men and transport them to a timeless place where they
may fight one another under said rules ...you would think I was
daft.

So I shall tell you that it is a 'computer' simulator.

Rest assured these men will be returned at the point of abduction
and will have no recollection or injury that will effect the 'known'
turn of events that we accept as history.

As I said..it will be an accurate tourny. ;)

I assume there will be no anal probing of or the use of any clamp or clamp-like device on any of the 92 men?
