Lets all go to germany!
Hello everyone, assuming the big fight is in germany. Who is going to go?
Am not going to miss this plus will be my first fight out of britain. Only problem is none of my mates like boxing, i had a chance with some of them and stupidly took them to manfredo bill.
anyone fancy a boxrec meet up? Not sure feasable to sit together but a few drinks might make me feel less like a loner?

It'll be great out there. I've been to a few football matches, loved it. Excellent beer.
Re: Lets all go to germany!
With the £ being so shit, everything will be really pricey. Like Beer is about 4 Euros, - last year that was about , what £2.70? Now its nearly £4 with the exchange rate. I'm going in May, messed up the timing really!

Just be thankful the fight's not in Finland.whicker wrote:With the £ being so shit, everything will be really pricey. Like Beer is about 4 Euros, - last year that was about , what £2.70? Now its nearly £4 with the exchange rate. I'm going in May, messed up the timing really!

I live in Germany and am planning to go. It will be my first live boxing match. I've never met any of the posters here before and usually just read through the topics (evry half hour) only posting occasionally. I would love to meet up though if the regulars are ok with it

If you think 4 euros is expensive I'd advice you to stop away from Dublinwhicker wrote:With the £ being so shit, everything will be really pricey. Law and I are going. Shaggy is a maybe. Wales will probably tag long with us too.

I would love it to be in Kiev. Really. Their economy is so shot to sh1t that it probably won't be, but if it was, it would be great.
Kiev is an fantastic city, in my, limited experience, and the hyrvnia is near worthless, so one would expect everything to be dirt cheap.

I`m going to Kiev in two weeks time for my birthday, can`t wait.
I would be up for a boxrec meet up for the Haye fight. Could be fun.
As for expensive beer, come to Norway, it costs about £6 for a 0.4 litre (which is about 2/3rds of a pint). In comparison Germany is dirt cheap for me :)

Just got back from Munich. Top city, top beer. Was about 6-7 Euros for a litre 'Stein' of beer which isn't too bad compared with other major European cities. Doubt the fight will be there but that's just an example.

Yes, but Berlin is super-cheap compared to London, even with the shite exchange rate.whicker wrote:With the £ being so shit, everything will be really pricey. June 20th is the definite date.Coco wrote:Have any dates been firmed up?
I'm seriously considering it but have to go on my own. I've also looked at going a week before to catch the UFC in Cologne but lack of funds might dictate otherwise. And Berlin is absolutely miles from Cologne.
Re: Lets all go to germany!
Just checked some flights from Valencia, Ryanair only fly to Frankfurt and Dussledorf from there but prices are only 40-60 Euros return
Just checking the other carriers now
I'm def up for this, looks like a good few of us will be over, be nice to meet up

It's a carbon copy of the London O2. AEG build all their venues to the same (sort of) spec.BIGMARK wrote:that would make sense and its meant to be a good place to see a fightwinkveron wrote:Says the O2 in Berlin on the Setanta website
Re: Lets all go to germany!
Air Berlin flights for me, which service most of Germany from Valencia all come in at between 200-300 Euro
Re: Lets all go to germany!
Looking like about £180 from London return.
Re: Lets all go to germany!
I'm flying out on Ryanair from Stansted and coming back into Luton on Easyjet, worked out cheapest with the best times. Flight back on the Sunday with Ryanair was ridiculously early
Re: Lets all go to germany!
When do we get a def confirmation of the venue?
Berlin is only 20 quid return from East Midlands with Ryanair, they have an offer on untill Mon
