Witters comments re: Hennessy?

I've read on the current scene that Devon Alexander will be fighting the winner of Holt-Bradley, how reliable that source is I don't know but if it's true then I don't see Witter getting a WBC title fight this year, he may have to look elsewhere.

Witter left SN because Hatton was the one getting all the exposure whereas Witter was just filling out undercards, so he jumped ship given the opportunity. I doubt he would go to SN again but given the luck that SN have had recently with their fighters I bet they'd take Witter on.

Pulled out of the fight....again...

I am sure I read he was stripped - but he may have jut given it up in the hope he an get a free world title shot because he would be finished if he lost to Witter...

I would be monumentally surprised if SN would take Junior on.
Equally I would be monumentally surprised if Junior would want to work with him again.
The links between Mick and the Ingles are very strong.
Junior will stay loyal to Mick, I'm sure.

i disagree slightly on 'raw'. a 'raw' fighter would have been hit a LOT more than Bradley was vs Witter, Witter tends to pick raw fighters apart quite easily.

probably the single thing that impressed me most about him was how tight his defence was.

agree though that he was flattered slightly by Witter's inactivity during the fight- surely though some credit must go to Bradley for taking offensive opportunities away from Witter?

You have to credit Bradley because he got the win...BUT - he is not as good as that win suggests...imo.

I just think it's Witter who isn't that great and never has been. He's always blown hot and cold and has looked terrible on a number of occasions. Bradley is a good all round boxer and he beat Witter because he is better in my opinion.

a good fundamentally sound fighter.

witter is world class though.

he does have some decent skills and can soak em up when he has to.

Either way I am sure HS should have made more of the fact they go tthe mandatory out of the way sooner rather than later..

He's a force in and around Europe, but world titles seem a long way away at the moment, and at his age it doesn't bode well.

If I was Witter I would leave HS because Hennessey is a joke, Froch's fight against Taylor isn't live and HS's sports fighters are always inactive for long periods [except Thaxton and Fury], I don't know who is worse Hennessey or Hobson.

His career HAS already wasted away. At 35 its all to late to do much about it.

He had the talent, its just a shame that, other than the Judah fight which came to early in his career, he was never given the chance to really prove it. Corley was on the slide when they fought for the vacant title and was never elite anyway, and Harris, well, its debatable wether he was on the slide also, but fair play to Witter, he did a job on him.

Witter choose to stick it out with Hennessy. If he retires unhappy with his career he only has himself to thank for that. Personally, i've always had my doubts about how much he really wanted it.
