brelands feat included Olympics, 4 or 5 NYC GGs and amateur world titles. Considering all the a he is the most impressive in my book. Donald Curry probably the most famous prolific boxer with 300-400 wins and not many losses but I don't he faced the caliber of boxes breland did. Brelands record is also easy to verify because many wins were in tournament action and if he lost more than one, whoever beat him would be making sure we all know. Only one boxer has ever said they beat Mark in the amateurs. Ever.

Exactly, I always say that. Trust me, when you hear of a boxer going pro saying he was 125-3 as an amateur you can be sure there are 8 or 9 guys running around thinking they are one of the three!! LOL
Breland was beating some tough comp, too...defeated several AAU, Golden Gloves and North American champs...he beat the 1980 olympic silver medalist...beat the best Cuban and the best Russian...was 18-0 internationally...won 5 NYCGG ttiles...and scored around 17 stoppages in those 5 years...
