Maybe ask on the Australian page. There are some kiwis posting on there.

Someone on there said he is in a bad way these days.

"Punch drunk" was the term they used.

yeah, i saw thunder in the palms casino in vegas maybe 3 or 4 years ago. he was wasted and had a hot chick with him but he was nowhere near being in fighting shape. i would say he was pushin 260 or 270. he was fun to watch on tuesday night fights.

Thunder was one of the FoxSport fighters I some what followed
when my dad got Foxtel in the mid 1990s. He was on often
and regularily whether in HLs or fighting while I was babysitting
my step's.

He was always entertaining and seemed to have such sudden power
in his fists. Not the best guy around at the time, but what of the
more exciting guys.

Hope his power has earnt him a good retirement.

those are some good match ups tho he would get smoked by Morrison and Brono for sure and Golota would have hurt him to if this is a 90's Golota.

Thunder was a blast to watch remeber his ko of Crawford Grimsley and Ray Anis classic.

Golota, Seldon, Butler and particularly Bruno would surely make very easy work of Jimmy Thunder. Christ he wasn't any where near that good. Joe Hipp i'd probably pick over him too.

Thunder would totally marmalise Butterbean though, absolute mismatch.

Thunder v Samson Po'uha would have been fun, with pre-Tua Polynesian bragging rights at stake.
