Fightnews:
Promoter Chris Webb/Straight Out Promotions has added a women's world title fight to the Mike Tyson vs Danny Williams fight card on July 30 at Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky. WIBA light heavyweight world champion Laila Ali (17-0, 14 KOs) will face Monica Nunez (9-1, 5 KOs) in a 10 rounder. Webb said today, "We very excited that Laila Ali has been added to the July 30 event. She has established herself over the last few years as the best female boxer in the world, and Monica Nunez is a very tough opponent for her. We think this will be a sensational battle." Ali just fought last Saturday.
----------
The card will also feature middleweights Randy Griffin (18-1-1, 10 KOs) and Julio Garcia (25-3-2, 11 KOs) in a 12-rounder for the vacant NABF/NABO titles and a WBO 108lb world title clash between champion Nelson Dieppa (20-1-2, 12 KOs) and unbeaten Ulises "Archie" Solis (18-0-1, 13 KOs, Guadalajara, Mexico. A total of nine fights are planned.

I stayed up to watch Foreman v Moorer .I fell asleep after a couple of beers, might have been a few more than that and woke to see the end credits of the show with Foreman holding his hands aloft, so not only did i miss the fight, i had seen who won, so i couldn't watch the repeat without knowing who the winner was.

the dangers of drink
Been there, done it several times.

I'm actually beginning to think there is also some phenomenan about why I always awake as the end credits are rolling, which as you say often gives away the result!
It happened to me before too.

I remember Thomas Hearns v someone, massive fight, might have been the Leonard rematch, and I fell asleep and woke up to see them discussing the fight.

Same with DLH v Mosley II, woke up on the sofa having watched the undercard, to see them announcing the result, Actually i was wrong though, it was a re-run of the first fight, and I only realised that when they announced it was at welterweight.

Again Lewis v Rahman II, I fell asleep woke up to see Lewis in the arms of the ref, and started swearing at the TV calling Lewis a fornicator, before I realised it was a stoppage which looked uncannily like the first.

Well we saw Julio Garcia getting bombed out in a round by Verno Phillips, so no great quality there. Laila Ali doesn't interest me anymore unless she's fighting Anne Wolf.

The Dieppa fight could be decent although it won't be enough to stop my flatmates grumbling while they wait for the big one.

Won't pay.
Probably watch it on my cousin's chipped box for £0 though.

The worst PPV night was Hammed-Barrera.

Hammed took Soooo long to come to the ring, at past 4am, my patience was running low. Everyone watching with me switched allegiances from Nas to Marco because of the jug-ear one's antics. I seem to remember the fight didn't start till past 5am.

It's just not funny at the crack of dawn.
