Check out one of the most brutal KO's I've ever seen, by a WOMAN. Just saw this for the first time, what a BRUTAL KO. The fighter who gets KO'd is 6'6. She comes into the punch as it's thrown and gets stretched. Her eyes start rolling back into her head. This happened in February I think.
To be fair Wolfe has bags of natural ability. She throws a wicked counter left hook-right uppercut. Her against Laila Ali is the biggest womens fight out there.
That Vonda Ward was just a huge muscular freak with no boxing skills.
So what if she got brutally KO'd. What is the difference between men being hurt in the ring and women, what is the difference between a man dying in war, or a woman, answer, fornicate all, all adult life is worth the same.
The idea that women are frail and need to be protected is a load of victorian bullshit. As long as the exponents are of a good skill level, I have no problem.
Laila Ali and Lucia Rijker are both skilled, Lucia is probably the best female fighter out there, and she is a damned sight better technically than many male clubfighters I have seen.
I don't necessarily disagree with women boxing. Of course they should be allowed to fight if they want. As a man, It make me uncomfortable though and I refuse to watch it. Women are a lot more fragile than men too, they can get hurt more easily. Personally, seeing women's faces get busted up by each other has no appeal to me and the majority of other men. So while I don't disagree with women boxing, I refuse to watch it.
Also, the showboating at the end of that clip was disgusting.

Women are more frail? What are they made of, rice paper. They are more slight, but their bodies are more than capable of taking pain. They go through bloody childbirth, and at the end of the day, they are fighting other women, not men, therefore the amount of punishment they take is lesser. They also fight over shorter distances.

EFF ME! That was a bit nasty. Anne Wolfe is a real rags to (well, I won't say riches) story. She used to live on the street before boxing gave her a purpose. I hope she gets the big bucks showdown with Ali. She might well win too, there's more skills to her than we see in that clip.

Are you disagreeing that women are more fragile than men? Because that is all I said. I understand the rules and they don't make a difference to me because I have a problem with watching women fight. Look at the Christy Martin-Laila Ali fight. Can you honestly say you enjoyed it?
According to what I was just reading, Vonda Ward (the bird who Wolfe sparks) had weighed in at 189-190lbs for all her previous fights but was 170lbs for the one where she got lamped.

The reason why that fight was so bad was because Martin was hopelessly out-weighed plus she was well over the hill.
I can honestly say I'd look forward to Laila Ali v Anne Wolfe as much as any mens fight. Well, maybe not as much as Magarito v Mayorga. Or Hatton v Witter. Or Chi v Pacquiao. But what the heck I'd be bloody excited about it.
