What a shambles: Matt Skelton fight off...

Post by bennie »

Matt Skelton has seen his 10-rounder at York Hall called off. First, American Zuri Lawrence pulled out when it emerged he still owed maintenance money to American courts.
Then fellow American Alfred "Ice" Cole was forced to withdraw because of visa problems.
What a shambles!

Like I said this appears unfounded presently unless SN are in denial.

My mistake.

However, IMO it'll be shame if this do go the way of the pear.

Skelton always brings plenty of support with him from Bedford. If the local press are saying his fight is off, it don't look good

Yep, I know it doesn't look good and the details are just that detailed. But SN seemed shocked? Just relaying what I got.

I'm sure some queries are being conducted as we speak.

Why haven't that site got coverage of BBN? They have the Meager-Hunt 'stories' listed from both Seconds Out and Eastside and these two are just press releases they've banged up.

I least I went to the effort of actually writing a story about it.

One of two things are happening.

1) The Cole out story is crap.

or

2) Cole is out but SN denied it to maintain the legitimacy of last nights programme. Too late to amend the recording.

You decide.

Wayne Llewellyn has also pulled out of his 10-rounder with Hasim Rahman set for Rochester in upstate New York on July 28. He claims a virus. Quinn Navarre replaces him.

Rahman v Navarre is even more of a horror-show than Llewellyn.

Couldn't SLick Miller make it?

Good job he did too, if only for the fan's sake.

It's irrelevant. Rahman is now scheduled to fight Friday Ahunanya. That may change in the next five minutes though. The New York Commission said Navarre wasn't good enough, so good on them.

Too right. I know Rahman is on a downward slope but who are they going to dig up for him next? Damon Reed?
