Setanta US show last night

Post by stujones »

Anyone know what time it started... it was advertised as 3 am - I manually recorded it for 1:55 am and it starts with round 4 of the Tsypko vs Andrade bout!!!!

Had a power cut also so actually didn't get any of the main event

Not sure I set it on the V+ box and everything recorded, power fast forwarded through the Andrade fight

Started at 3am. Andrade was the second fight, after Diaconu.

What did everyone think of Bradley-Holt? Holt didn't seem like he wanted to fight so it made it a bit of a snoozer, I gave Bradley everything from 2-11 pretty much. The way he blazes combinations and works the body reminds me a bit of Mosley

Bradley's been in a couple of boring fights with Witter and Holt but I think if someone came to him it would be an exciting fight

i cant argue with that i thought Holt was very poor and though got the two knockdowns did very little and lost wide on my card. I like Bradley but not sure how far he can go but holding to belts is a good start.
I reckon Bradley would have the speed and skills to bring it to the Hatton-Pacman winner and perhaps pull it off, he won't get the fight though

My Sky+ box broke for the second time in a month. In the last 5 weeks I've managed to see 4 days of sport and now have to wait another 2 weeks. :witzend:

God bless WBVA.

Thats most strange, I started my manual record at 1:55... maybe cause the power cut off it didn't start on time.

Edit: Sorry the guys from Setanta, not your fault my Sky+'s fault. I've got the Bradley fight.... just everything from before the Andrade fight I am missing - damn power.

i was watching on setanta 2 up until about 3.50am when it came up on the screen that this programme was not available here. watching in ireland on sky. had to switch over to setanta 1 which was showing it as well over here. i started watching it on setanta 2 because thats what it was advertised as being on. i checked setanta 2 at the end of the andrade fight and it was still saying this programme was not available. lucky i was awake to switch it over. i dont know if anyone else in ireland had this problem. i would have been raging if i had got up this morning and discovered i only had the first seven rounds of the first fight shown. when the programme is not available the recording came up as recording interupted from the point where the message came up. dont know why they showed it on both channels over here and then cut off one of them after only 50 minutes. the tv guide was saying the setanta 2 coverage was on until 6.30 while the setanta 1 was ending at 5am. that was the main reason why i was watching on setanta 2. (as well as the fact that it was advertised on setanta 2) ended up that setanta 2 ended at 3.50 and setanta 1 going until the proper time 6.30.

yeah same for me.

8 rds to 4 or 9 to 3 was about right.

thought holt barely shaded a couple of those tbh.

bradley walked him down and holt's arse dropped.

holt is all mouth and trousers.

pathetic little rant during the pre fight instructions. :shame:

Just watched my Sky+ of it, recorded Setanta 1 from 3am I think.
Thought Holt looked terrific for the first 2 or 3 rounds, then he just got the life sucked out of him for awhile it seemed, as Bradley just never stops coming.
No wonder Witter couldn't dent him, he takes one HELL of a shot - that first round left hook would have left 98% of the LW population in dream land.

Excellent commentators from Showtime I thought, dead on in their reading of the fight and none of the usual American yaddayadda.

Yep that first round eft hook was something to behold it nearly knocked his head off his shoulders and yet he got up and came back for more. I like Bradley but he isnt the greatest watch and that will go against him I suppose in terms of getting really big fights. Still with WBC and WBO titles he's the man in terms of belts now at LW.

I think some credit can also go to Bradleys corner who were giving clear, concise advice whilst Holt's seemed like a bunch of rude boy cheerleaders.

I thought Bradley was very effective. Excellent work-rate, quite quick and tough as old boots.

Good job he's champ or no-one wold fight him LOL!

they replayed the main event at 12, which was a touch.
Holt didnt look up for the fight, didnt want a barney, didnt want to work the jab... sucks to be him, then. KD rounds aside, he got nothing from me. Hopefully Bradley can unify all the titles, and hopefully they can be kept together.

I think Bradley is vastily underrated - he has a game plan for every opponent Witter, Cherry and Holt and executes methodically. In the end he just broke Holt's will -w hich I think is suspect.

Bradley may not be big enough to beat Hatton or quick enough to beat Pac but he'd give the former a tough argument.

Witter would need to be back to his best to beat him, while your posing, Bradley is punching.

I just watched all the setanta stuff from the weekend. What a classy touch putting that piece about Giovanni Parisi in there. Really impressive.
