I think Froch will win by KO hes got power and a good chin he'll get caught with a few big punches but as the fight goes on he will catch him more and more and eventually ko him

Taylor will win this one handily I fear. I have a bad feeling Froch will be made to look pedestrian and that he just won't be able to land enough. That said, if he has the output Pavlik showed I think he has a chance, but I don't think he will. I would really like to see Carl work behind the jab for the whole fight, but again I don't think he will, it's his way or the highway when he's out there, and that won't be enough against Taylor. Taylor will box and move and win widely on the cards or maybe by late stoppage.

Firstly, i am completely biased in this one, so take that on board. But having read that i cant help but conclude a few things.

Froch is a lot faster than Jermain and his team realise, those second and third shots come raining in fast when he sees the opening. Great body puncher and can fight going forwards and backwards. Great chin, power in both hands and can fight for the full 12. Bags of confidence and the belt in his locker.

I think, from the interview it would allude to the fact they truly believe this will just require a workmanlike effort simply because 'Froch has not fought anyone on his level' - yet goes on to say he is training harder than ever before? i struggle to believe that you could deep deep down train for someone that you honestly believe 'Is not on your level'.

So Taylor believes that the key is the fact that the difference in speed and class of opposition is key to this - but would you say, i dunno, Brian Magee beat Cory Spinks ? Could Jean Pascal beat Jeff Lacy ? yes they could.

1) Taylor took a split win over a guy that little Zab knocked out.
2) Kelly Pavlik had not fought anyone on Taylor's level beforehand, did it matter though?
3) His engine has failed in every fast paced fight he has been in
4) Taylor has not had a stoppage in 4 years, Froch has taken some incredible shots without blinking.
5) His wins over Hopkins and Wright were debatable at best. Froch has fought nobody of their 'HBO-TV' calibre but has no dubious decisions anywhere.

Taylor is a pedigree black Labrador.

Froch is a mongrel - half Doberman and half Rotweiler.

All said and done, he could have made the fight for the vacant title last year, but opted to fight an eliminator. He chose the easy job of Lacy and the pay day - so i dont really believe he's that bothered about the World title at all like he makes out.

He's at that stage where he looks at the division and maybe thinks that he can beat Froch, Allan Green, Andre Dirrel and then maybe some other bums and earn good HBO money and then retire from the sport, fat with loot.

Good interview Terry D as always mate. But i think your boy gets Banjo'd !

Taylor's technically and defensively a class above Froch not to mention a much better athlete. Froch needs to draw Taylor into a slugging match and make it a high paced fight and even then he might not be able to win as his slower wider punches and more open defense will still be shown up. People forget Taylor will be fresher, less drained and stronger at 168

Taylor's jab is the key. I don't think Carl can fight at a fast pace. I want Carl to win, but I have a feeling that he may just get outboxed here.

Im a bit deuced on the money side of things and am hopping on a late flight to see it hopefully, rather than do the whole NYC sight seeing tour.

Froch needs to win - and that's purely from the point of view that guys like him and Haye, are what the sport needs right now.

Fighters who are prepared to travel and make sacrifice to make the fights we want to see.

Taylor, did not touch the canvas vs The Executioner, so I seriously doubt that Frochette will KO him. Also considering how well he boxed against a top form Pavlik I doubt that Frochette will be able to have the same hand speed and accuracy. People keep forgetting Taylor was a double title holder... Frochette barely got his so plz.

Easily Taylor. Either by points or KO, irrelevant, Taylor for the win.

I've gone for Taylor on points, I think he's going to be too quick and too slick for Carl.

I'm hoping I'm wrong, but it's really the same kind of situation as Haye's fight with Wlad.

This is a new level for Froch and until we see him operate at this level I'm inclined to make him the underdog, just as I do Haye.

But there is also a sense of if they both step up and pull off a win, they're really announcing themselves to America and the world as genuine world class!! Can't wait to see how it pans out.

Froch on points - but, if he doesn't box at a decent pace from the off, he'll lose on points.

PS My heart says Froch but Taylor is the better-rounded boxer.

That said I think Carl has a better chin and could take him out along the stretch. Going to be very close..

Taylor is the better athlete, but then I thought he was the better athlete than Pavlik, who is quite slow also. I think its a fight where if Taylor fights to his potential, which is something that he has not done as a championship fighter IMO, then he wins big. If he fights lazy then Froch might win a close one on agression.

What's this better athlete baloney? are we saying he looks better in Nike than Froch ?

Taylor's engine is appalling !

Over 4 rounds he might hammer Froch - but not over 12.

If it comes down to trading shots in a tough fight, I actually think Taylor won't hold up as well as Pascal.

Taylor will cause plenty of problems over the first half with movement, then lose steam and hopefully get ground down in the 2nd half.

Terry - you da man!!! Great stuff lad.

At first I went with Taylor's better skills and Froch's poor defence leading to a points win for Taylor.

I've changed my thinking though. At some point with Froch you are going to have to fight him, and I think his greater will and toughness will see him take a late rounds win.

I meant, he is quicker, more accurate, has a more "slick" style, better balance and better defense - but he is an "athlete" in that he doesn't always put it to use. He hasn't got a particularly good boxing brain IMO. He has the skill set to be a fine Super Middleweight champion, as he did at Middle - but somehow, something is "missing". Its quite hard to define, I don't think it is bottle, he's not afraid of taking shots - just sometimes seems completely switched off and disinterested.

Edit: I didn't mean to word it as Taylor was a "fine" Middleweight champion- just that he had the skill set but somehow it still has never "clicked".

I cant really remeber the fights that great as i only watched them at the time
but yea the pretty close , Taylor hasnt been that impressive since then a bit boring to watch.

Hes fought at better level than Froch so thats whats swaying it for me
Liked Froch in his last fight and hope he forces it they way he did then,

Froch is a bit of a tit IMO ( and a lot of others )
For the good of British boxing i hope he wins but got a feeling he will come unstuck
