Bunce Hour 9/4

Post by Buncey »

OK...Ola Afolabi in the studio, Bradley Saunders on the phone, Kevin Mitchell in the studio and Joe Murray on the phone. Plus the man that made the Haye fight happen and the Khan DVD comp comes to an end... [email protected]

Adios.

Cheers for the update Steve.

I'd like to see Jamie Moore on the show following his EBU title win.

Also. what Darren Barker is doing next - is he fighting Macklin ?

Last I read was that he still didn't know if he was going to be charged or not...

I guess/hope we'll get a bit more info tomorrow - although maybe he won't be able to discuss it as it's an ongoing case?

Drugs not a boxing issue. He's back from a tournament and looking to the future.

Looking forward to hearing from Afolabi - IMO he fought a fantastic fight against Enzo and deserved more credit for his tactics.

Totally agree that Buncey should get Jamie Moore on the show. I had the pleasure of meeting him not so long ago and he is really nice fella - and what a fighter!

Wouldn't agree with you about the first part but then he hasn't been charged anyway.

Yes, he's just won a gold in Finland. Talented lad is Bradley. Had his head been right I think he'd have done much better in the Olympics.

Weird how your mind works when you're young. He was sick of being away and just wanted to get it over with.

Buncey,

Next time Khan is on your show, please ask him why:

1) He say's Andreas Kotelnik is the worst world champion (not tongue in cheek either !), then says he's always respected him and thinks he's a good fighter now he's got a world title shot at him ?

2) Why he's moving up in weight and fighting for a world title, in his first fight at the new weight, before he wins a title at his natrual weight ? Is he done at lightweight now ?

3) If he thinks Breidis Prescott is more deserving of a world title shot than he is ?

Come on Buncey, don't pull any punches, we want to know how Khan can justify a world title fight at all, let alone moving up in weight to do so and fighting the opponant he is.

We want answers Buncey and you're the man to get them, this is what i hate about this sport.

I hope Buncey tells it straight with them.

Fwank and Khan must think we're stupid. The sad reality of it is i feel they will con the average joe in the street but people more into their boxing know it's an undeserving fraud and i feel it's insulting.

I'm disgusted this fight is allowed, it epitomises everything wrong with boxing.

Buncey,
I forgot about him saying kotelnick was the worst wc , he said it on your show you must raise this with him.
Clearly being a wc is more important for him than fighting the best at lw , but it was always clear that he would not be able to beat any of the top 10 at lw.

Jones came back with three wins.

against who? a shot inactive tito who hadnt fought for two years, Prince someone or other who was a top 20 gatekeeper at best and who else?

and Kotnelik is the reigning world champ

nonsense argument.

Not trying to ruin a thread merely offering a diferent opinion to yours.

As said Steve, wish Amir all the best movign up a div and going for a belt yet he is still derided onhere.

Pathetic really.

Met, JC said in his book there was no point fighting a shot jones, then fought him 3 years later and called him a legend.

whats good for the goose....

Buncey

Credit where credit is due, you did predict Khan to fight Kotelnik in the next year a few weeks back.

I heard that Setanta and Warren were trying to sue the piss out of each other...

Apparently Warren set up another company and shifted his fighters to that stable.

I'm surprised his fighters get any airtime on Setanta.

Khan is a fake and this fight with Kotelinik..well i hope it blows up in his Range Rover-driving, Diamond watch-wearing, Glass Jaw-owning face.

Khan must be reading the Joe Calzaghe blueprint to success and fortune every night - avoid all domestic challengers, fight for crummy international trinket titles and fight smaller, spent forces until a crack at the weakest champion within your reach becomes available.. or better still a vacant title.
