Does anyone remember that time he had a pop at Hagler live on one of the Harrison broadcasts? Hagler's one of boxing's all time greats and some smug middle class tosser who's most likely never paid to see a boxing match in his life.
I only wish Hagler was there to hear him.

Also, why are you named after a fleet of big red trucks?
Hagler was there... but was too classy to respond to that dick

The thing I always resented about Inverdale, is that he couldn't disguise his contempt for our sport.

The guy thinks he's the new Des Lynam but Des always had class. Inverdale I don't think ever liked boxing and its a probelm that the BBC think that any presenter can do justice to a sport without having a basic
knowledge or even love for the sport. Still he was better then Mark Bright who was completley inept at the world championships in Belfast.

The difference with Lynam, was he didn't really have an agenda. He readily admitted to not being an expert, and with each sport, he gradually built up his knowledge by listening to the people around him.

Inverdale takes himself very seriously, and goes in with an agenda.

One thing I've noticed about Inverdale is how his face seems to wince every time he lets Woodhall speak and is consequently in a rush to give the mic to Bunce. I don't understand why though - Woodhall talks the most sense of all.

Can't remember which show it was, GM. Inverdale introduced him as a pundit and Hagler said "Thanks, it's nice to be back in England."

Inverdale frowned and said something like "I'm not sure that's relevant. Let's stick to talking about boxing."
