Summed up really well - just dont want David to be too "gun ho" - but I honestly believe he could be alright - it is one of those fights I want to sit on the fence - mainly because it literally is one of those where anything could happen.

Mr Devious - I think and hope you are right!!! :TU:

Haye getting knocked out unfortunately.

He needs to jump on him a-la Corrie Sanders if u ask me and go for it. Best chance. If he tries to outbox him he will go about 10 rounds tops IMO. Power and brute force are required for this job.

I think Haye will jump on him like Sanders and then he has a chance. But I think Wlad will manage to clip him and KO him in 2 rounds.

Wlad is a huge heavyweight and a win over MOnty Barrett (when he was floored) plus being wobbled by that AFrican, down by Mormeck etc I see his chin as not being strong enough.

I can see Wlad being to big for Haye and finding his range early so Haye cant get close to him i think a 4th round KO to Wlad

I think wlad needs to beat a guy like haye to get respect, to prove he's a champion, real chapions can weather a storm, he has to show he can like tszyu did againts zab. He has made the right choice fighting haye, sam petter is a dangerous fighter but he doesn't appear to have the speed and skill that haye has and hunger.

Haye will knock him spark out. Wald will have a panic attack when he realises he cant deal with speed AND power.

Wlad is wide open to quick hard rights hands, that how Sanders beat him and Haye will do the same.

Haye in 3.

No way will Haye win on points - he himself isnt even thinking about that. This is all about Haye having the speed and power to KO Wlad.

It could well be a re-run of the Peter fight. Wlad all over the place but will box his way out of it and end up with the win.

guys, just thought i'd alert you to what is basically free money.

The under 10.5 rounds for this fight is priced at 1/2 :o

If ever there was a mortgage bet, this is it.

This is a very tight fight and i think it could go either way as both have questionsable chins. but i think wlad will get thsi one with a ko as he has the experience. however, if haye can get passed klitckos jab and land a big right hand then kiltchko will be in big trouble as haye can rely bang. my prediction kltchko ko after a few close rounds.

Haye appeared scared of Barretts power, even diving to the canvas when clipped, so its not hard to imagine what we can expect from him against Wlad.

If he gets through early he can win, but if he does'nt i think he will get dominated and KO'd inside 4 or 5 rounds.

Wlad appears to fight like he is scared of his own shadow, so think he will be the one that is weary of Hayes power.

Agreed - there is absolutely no chance in this world this fight is going beyond 4 rounds!!!

I honestly believe either fighter is making a mistake by playing safe - its that sort of fight.

interesting call from Boxrec's prediction league early (current?) leader.

Personally I think Wlad sometime in the first half.

Its one of those fights you really could argue either fighter winning - its as close as that in my view.

Its one of those "whoever connects first!!!"

Yes, but I am not sure it will come early early early. I can see alot of mutual respect / stalking happening first... as the openining round for Enzo vs Haye was and Klitchsko has better survival instincts - so when Haye loses patients and starts lunging, Klitchsko will tie him up... but eventually, someone will land.

Are you sure that Klitschko has better survival tactics than Enzo? Enzo's bad, but I see Klitschko being just as bad. The difference will be size. It took Haye a while to get Barratt out of there, and I don't think Klitschko will necessarily crumble off the first shot.

But I think Haye is far faster and far more accurate than anything Klitschko's faces of late.

Kay will be Haye's own movement -- of foot and head -- and his ability to negate Klitschko's jab either by jabbing first and doubling up on it, or by slipping and countering.

I see Haye winning, though, despite the size.

Klitschko is too staid, and too fragile to not appear very vulnerable, and Haye LOVES fighting guys of that Eastern European style. Sometimes fighters just 'know' when they can beat someone, and I think Haye has that feeling with Wlad.

Klitchsko has improved under the tutorlidge of Steward no end. Yes, I Haye does catch him then he could fall to pieces... but I think Klitchsko will be too smart and cautious to let that happen in the first few rounds.

I love that. Trying to be the smart one. Trying to show how smart you are by correcting someone not for boxing opinion, but on their English. I've done this on occasion myself, and, to be honest, unless it's a brazen attempt to rile Spud, it just makes you like a d1ckhead.

But at least when I did it, I made myself look like a prat and was right. You, on the other hand, went through all that trouble, made yourself look like a pedundum, as James Mac would say, only to be exposed as wrong.

Ukrainian is written not with the latin alphabet, like anglo-germanic or latin languages, but in a version of the cyrillic alphabet. So when we translate from one language to the other, we must also transliterate from one alphabet to the other. But as with the words of the languages themselves, there are often no direct translations from letters in one alphabet to those in another. There is no "th" or "h" sound in either Russian or Ukranian, and there is no "kha" sound like "Akhmed" in English. So we must approximate. That's why Harry Potter is Garry Potter in Russia and why I wonder sometimes who the f\/ck Prince Garry is.

Now, the Ukrainian alphabet is slightly different to the Russian alphabet, but the basics are the same. In Ukrainian and Russian the sound "veh", as in "voluptuous" is written with something we would recognise as looking just like a capital B. Now, we do have an equivalent to this, the letter ‘V’, so, actually, it should be transliterated as a V, as Dr Devious wrote.

But, in practice, conventions sometimes get in the way. For instance, the Russian city Ekaterinburg would be transliterated into the latin alphabet far more precisely as Yekaterinburg, but it isn’t simply because the convention is to transliterate the Russian letter which looks like a capital ‘E’, and makes the sound “ye” as in “yes”, as a latin letter “e”.

In Klitschko’s case, though, it isn’t even an English convention that gives us the inaccuracy, it’s a German convention. Wladimir made his name in Germany, where his name was spelled as per German transliteration convention, which denotes the ‘vee’ sound as the letter W. But because German and English both use forms of the latin alphabet, we didn’t see the need to transliterate and kept the W.

Funnily, we don't use Witali.

Something similar can be seen with the Crimean port Sevastapol. Again, the "vee" sound in the first syllable when written in cyrillic is with that letter that looks like a capital B. But, despite it being a vee sound, it's sometimes written in English as Sebastapol, as it is in The Economist magazine.

So eat that, lexicography-boy.

And next time you want to be a fastidious bore, you might want to do it in a field in which you possess knowledge beyond that which could easily be classified as f\/ck all.
