Sub-Novice means that the boxer had NO previous fights. Novice means less than 10 fights.

I was at one of these shows and fought last year, the cleveland gg is dieing quick. but i cant wait to see "Bart" Simmons take on Eddie Alicea in the championship and Derrick Moss fought like a bum last bout hope he doesnt plan on doing that vs yaundale evans, Zeddie adams should put up a good fight in the championship though, expecting alot 4rm him after his J.O career

I agree. I was disappointed at the turn out. Yes, Bart and Eddie will be one of the fights of the night. There was a little smack talking Saturday. Maybe there is still bad blood after Eddie left Saffold's gym to go to Old School. Derrick Moss has always been lacking to me. He has height that he doesn't use. Glad to have Yuandale home and in the gym, not the streets. Another good fight will be between Terrell Guasha and Wilkens Santiago. Santiago looked solid. Like Zeddie said, fighting Juniors is different than fighting men. It looks like he is slowly adjusting. Looks like we will have a good team going to nationals.

Derrick Moss going pro? WOW!!! So right after Golden Gloves Nationals, no U.S. Championships? Well, if that is true good luck to him.

^^^ it could happen, it depends on what type of fight eddie WANTS to put out. he hasnt been the same fighter he was for years, he likes to lay on the ropes alot and he doesnt attack like he should and he did a few years ago before he trained with francis. but ill keep my money on eddie

Exactly, It's up to Eddie how this bout will go. It's not easy going from the Juniors to fighting men. Eddie banged it out at the 2007 JO's where he won gold and got outstanding boxer. In the open division, it seems as if he has become more cautious. Pound for pound, I think Eddie is the better boxer. I want to see if Bart gets in there and starts being flashy. IMO, Eddie is a boxer, Bart is a brawler. It will be a great bout no matter how it turns out!

i agree with you both.....
I been watchin them both for years.
i love them both, i watch them lose to Leandre White numerous times, and eddie lost to domonique dolton once.
but to me i think bart hit harder, and can box...ill bet my money on eddie to....but if bart in shape to fight, i think he will win.
