Re: Fury lets rip over Price
I don`t really think he meant Haye wasn`t a proper fighter in the obvious context ... probably meant Haye wasn`t a proper heavyweight??
He is full of youthfull ignorance/arrogance .. but still comes across as a decent sort.
I don`t ever see a Fury v Price ever being anywhere as big as a Bruno v Lewis fight
.. but he can hope I guess.
Though I do agree with his positive view on being shown on ITV rather than SKY being much more important to raising his profile .. in the long term he could potentially earn mega money from outside of the ring with the right PR from ITV.
Good luck to the lad.

Re: Fury lets rip over Price
I'd be fascinated to find out whether this 'interview' with Fury was conducted on the phone or via e-mail. I strongly suspect the latter, in which case I also strongly suspect it was penned by an idiotic PR, rather than having any involvement from Fury himself - I just find it very difficult to reconcile the comments here and on other press releases with the times I've seen Fury interviewed... not just in terms of tone, but also in terms of language used etc.
If I'm wrong and it does come straight from the horse's mouth then he's a clown, quite frankly.

God Fury is annoying. He goes on and on about Price. He should consentrate on himself. The fight with Price won't happen until one of them at least has a British title.

Did he say that Vitaly Klitschko has no chin?

Re: Fury lets rip over Price
I've only seen one Fury match on the information super interweb, so perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself, but my first impression was that he looked soft, clearly not grown into a full man's body, and, like, not too hot.
He's even bigger than I thought, and his prominent cheekbones and brow make him faintly reminiscent of that jaws dude who would always get whupped by camp Roger Moore in crappy eighties Bond films, but I just don't get what all the buzz is about.
Can someone post here or PM me some videos of his professional fights that illustrate to a non-believer like myself exactly what he’s shown to suggest he’ll progress beyond the domestic circuit?

How did you find him? Level headed or just hot air?
Re: Fury lets rip over Price
Interview was done over phone. Really sound lad actually but like most travellers speaks from the heart and had plenty to say. He said Wlad, like Haye, had no chin. Said their upcoming fight reminded him of Vitali v Herbie tho with Haye getting bombed out after being dropped several times.
"Big chinny thing from Liverpool" - Priceless.

Re: Fury lets rip over Price
Ive spoken to him a couple of times and he is sound as a pound - a very approachable big friendly sort of lad.
My mate chatted to him for ages and then Fury used his mobile to ring McPhillbin up (a lad he beat a few times in the Amateurs) to see how he was going.
It's all bluster in these press releases to get everyone talking, that's all it is at the end of the day.

He seems likem a decent lad when he is talking about everything bar his potential opponents.
As mentioned above, it's part and parcel of the game thesedays and it's been done plenty of times before by other prospects.
No doubt these insults will come back to haunt him a bit one day but thats how it goes. It's getting people talking

I have known Tyson a few years and he is a nice guy,
Re: Fury lets rip over Price
Bigheaded? He sounds like a confident young fighter should do. He's made a great start to the pros, is showing many good qualities, particularly his speed, power and shot variety, all the more credible considering his size. Have had no problems with anything he has said so far; he is a fighter and is entitled to his opinions. Good luck to him.BARNEYKX wrote:i have no doubt that, but he seems to be getting big headed match him with someone his own size like Scott Belshaw and see how he figuresERIC GUY wrote:I have known Tyson a few years and he is a nice guy,
