Audley vs Matt Skelton
I read on another forum that this has provisionally been pencilled in for September 25th. Anybody know if this is true?

Boxing News say September 26, a Sunday.Guest wrote:I read on another forum that this has provisionally been pencilled in for September 25th. Anybody know if this is true?

Yeah, it'll happen (if Skelton beats Cole). Audley has nowhere else to go.Guest wrote:Think it'll happen? Anybody care? I think it'll be good for both fighters. A name for Audley, if you can call Skelton that, and would help Skelton raise his profile fighting somebodies of Audleys fame, if nothing else.
People agree, disagree?

all sorts of dates flying around. September 25th is a Saturday, so that makes sense...but then there is this mystery about Wembley Arena being the host of a Sports Network show on the 30th (Thursday)...and now Bennie says Boxing News reckon it's on the 26th!?!
at least the fight looks like it's actually going to happen, that's the main thing!

Sky are ousting boxing on Saturday nights, so Sunday night makes sense for a big fight like this. The fight is virtually set for that date.adamiw wrote:all sorts of dates flying around. I agree AH with no real tv contract in place will have to deal with FW for this domestic showdown!!! He did try bless him to avoid old Franky at all costs but it looks like he's gonna have to take Skelton on if he wants to swim. Before the Francis fight I'd have backed AH all the way but now I'm not so sure..........

I think Audley showed improvement against Hersisa did look world class in the fight, but I think he looked awful in the Francis and Bonin fights. My main problem at the moment is he is too cautious. I like the guy, but sometimes I think he is too worried about getting a punch in the face that he takes twice as long to put some away as he should do. I'd like to see more of the Audley Harrison that turned up against Hersisa.
ok cool. On the SKY thing, i thought they were still having 'big fights' on Saturday's like Hatton, Calzaghe etc? This fight will be just as big, no bigger than those fights.bennie wrote:Sky are ousting boxing on Saturday nights, so Sunday night makes sense for a big fight like this.
