Re: Noel Thornberry Comeback
How old is Thornberry anyway? I can remember when his father Trevor was the next big thing in Australian boxing, then he lost a few fights, culminating in being crippled by journeyman Jackson McQuade.AntonS wrote:Nah, they want a real go & are training for itBrute wrote:Shouldn't they be exhibitions?AntonS wrote:It's a Charity show guys. Re: Noel Thornberry Comeback
Noel would be no more than 43 & is still a very fit man. Jamie had put on a bit of weight since his days in the ring, but is slow shedding it to 90kgs

Re: Noel Thornberry Comeback
After his fight with McQuade Thornberry was physically incapable of fighting or working again. I never said it was through anybody's fault, it was one of those unfortunate things that happen in a boxing ring.toppity wrote:why? it didn't seem that much of a slur. was it incorrect?popeye1 wrote:it said...

Would it be unacceptable if I said Emile Griffith killed Benny Paret? It happened, folks. It is a hard game.
