marcus is lightheavy, i dont really see him at middleweight, but anything is possable, his record is on boxrec, hes 2-0 with ok opposition, but you know the game..... build the record, expierence, then turn it up....
where are you from ivstova, who trains you and where you fighting at?
sparring is the key, but im sure you know that allready, you have access to good sparring? i think its marcus's only problem, he has it but not at his weight or talent, it took steve forbes moving to vegas and sparring mayweather, corales, vince phillips, ect. to really sharpen up his game, there out of the same gym ya know, reggie davis too, good gym....solid amateurs , ray lampkin started there.... anyway
ill look out for you oct 13th let me know where your fighting.... :TU:

I'm from Pomona, Ca.. where Sugar Shane from. Right now Joe Garcia and Jack Mosley are training me, but before it was just me and Joe. Shane never comes around anymore, in fact after he beat Oscar De La Hoya in 2000, he has not step a foot in any gym in Pomona. He used to come every 4 months and show his face, but you now what happens when
money and wife are evolved. He's not all what the media makes him to be,
In fact my gym closed down 6 mths ago, and my Coach Joe asked him to save it, and you konw what the answer was......... no. We were training at his Boxing Camp in Big Bear for Winky Wright, and he shined us on. But thats another story...... anyway Oh yea Ray Lampkin, he's got real talent,
I like that dude. He's really funny, guess what at the Olympic trials, he had to face some tuff guys, I think Arian Garcia, so Ray went asking every body how this guy fights, And I mean every Body even Heavyweights... and guess what he beat that pretty good. He studies fights and fighters.

Right now , I'm sparring with Paul Briggs, his from Altraila. He is really good. He is sparring with Derrick Harman at Jacks Gym.
There are alot of fighters to spar here in Los Angeles, but not really in Pomona. I have sparred with Julio Gonzalez, Jose Celaya, Emmitt Linton,
Sergio Mora, Domonic Salcido, Jesus Ruiz, Kingesly Ikeki and Paul Briggs.
Paul is going to fight Stipe Drews for the WBA elimiator LHT-Heay title, to fight Antoino Tarver next. You can check that out on Boxrec.com.
If any of the guys in Oregon make it big, and need some help , just email me. I am trying to quit this job and box full time.
Are you a trainer , manager or boxer. Because I'm training with Jack but he doesn't have any management time. He trains Jay Horton( who just got a Draw), Danny Garcia,Steve Wander, Paul Briggs and myself, but you know that he's only doing so much for me... when he has a jackpot in front of him. He's all about himself first... just like Shane......In fact he didn't even pay any attention to me until I won Silver at the US Championships. Then he started telling people that he trains me, ain't that some Bull shiiii.......t. But I 'm sure you know that right now I'm playing it cool, and gaining experience from him on the side Line.

, i was training for a pro fight and stuff happens, im 30 yrs old, fight at 147.... but the thing is one of my old trainier and myself opened the westside pal gym 3 yrs ago, so i have been training amateurs, i still want to fight pro but in all honesty i am some what limited, i got a late start in boxing,24 yrs old, i have a good amateur record, but pro to me is just to compete, im not going to win any major titles,
im not negative, just realistic...
in fact some of my amateurs are going to be solid in the years to come,
3 yrs later we have some good pee wees, efram astrada is 9 yrs old with 23 fights and he is a show stopper!!!!, josh silva has 25 fights 12 yrs old with alot of skill, but needs to listen more....and we have a few state champs, but as a new gym were just getting ready to take the next step to national competition, so i have boxers who will be way better than i am, and thats a huge motivator as a trainer, but every kid dreams of being a professional athlete ...even me .......we will see...
i got a call from my friend in phoenix tonight, hes working out at michael carbajals gym in phoenix, he 37 so hes working out just for excersize but he said for me to come get sparring, michaels always willing to work,
sounds fun, im possable plan on going down in a few weeks...
ill let you know how it plays out :TU:
