someone was asking about him last week.

Had a quick chat with current Ugandan pro Buster Dennis in the Peacock on Saturday, he said he was with "the beast" on Friday afternoon.

He lives in Stratford, East London. He is a big lad now and likes the beer..

Can anyone provide a contact number/address.

The Beast is my God.

Weve gotta have him as guest of honour on the next piss up.

We will probably have to pay him though.

He trains down my gym now and again. I was chatting to this bloke in the changing room, and then afterwards I asked my trainer if there was anyone to spar with....he said you can ask John Mugabi if you like....

I hadn't realised who I had been talking to. He was very personable and friendly, not in the least bit intimidating in his manner or words.

He reminded me a bit of a pastor.

He has put on a bit of weight, but is by no means a Buster Douglas!

No I didn't - he had finished training. I would like to have done though - he's a legend.

I think he must have mellowed out - before I knew who he was, we talked about sparring in general and he was saying that sparring is about practice and technique, not about trying to hurt the other guy.

I'm sure he would have been gentle with me! He seems very relaxed and easy going.

I can arrange transport for him and he can bring a friend if he's a bit shy.

He could be our guest of honour and I'd be willing to stand his drinks bill.

I'm sure some of the other lads would chip in as well.

This is a genuine enquiry from a lifelong fan of his.

I'll never forget his brutal KO of Frank Fletcher,he was near hanging out of the ring and getting smashed to mush with those powerful wallops from Mugabi before the ref finally stepped in.

Went into the gym today (even though I felt sh1tte - I remembered that I had promised that I would try and get his number!) - I'm afraid Mugabi wasn't in.

I will ask the Ugandans down the gym if one has his number...

I can verify, Knockout Artist is a massive fan of Mugabi's I recall from when we met back in January. Shame I'll most likely be away (again

) on Sept 10th, this I would have love to see.
