Imagine the uproar if PBF gets beaten by JMM!

Personallty I think pbf has been in the gym all this time,Leaonard did it so I see no reason why PBF would not.

Marquez has no chance, because the fight won't be lower than 147lbs. It would be too risky for Floyd any other way.

If its taking place at welter then JMM doesn't have a chance. Make it at light-welter for crycing out loud. Why does 1 fighter always have to make all of the sacraifices to accomodate arrogant pricks like PBF????
God Floyd grow a pair, fight Paul Williams and take the beating you know deep down you've always secretly yearned.

I mean even if it was 142lbs then I could live with that, but Floyd wants all the advantages. I bet he feels he's earned them.

147lbs is a big :shame: from me.

Maybe so, but even if it was at 140lbs, I still think Floyd would beat JMM convincingly!

I for one am pleased Floyd is returning! He will once again settle all this P4P debate shit!

now Mayweathers pretty much nailed on coming back does this mean he strolls back in a pfp no1. I only ask this because Hattons twisted psyche tells us that he will be no1 pfp if he beats Pac.. No you fookin wont sunshine!!!

He'll be lucky if he's top 4

Depends on the performances IMO.... and only Pacquiao can be ahead of him. Its not as if Mayweather is fighting a bum.

The only person who can beat Floyd is himself, either through not taking the fight seriously or simply just his body not being up to it anymore. I'm gutted we haven't seen fights come off against the likes of Cotto or Margarito because I believe Floyd would find a way to beat them and further cement his legacy.

Cotto might still happen, Margarito? No way.

If this was a serious comeback for the glory rather than the money, he woud fight Cotto, not Marquez.

I wanna see Mayweather back, I just don't want to see him in with Marquez unless it's at 140lbs. My preference would be SSM though.

After the way SSM dealt with Margo, could you imagine how good that fight would be.

Marquez Vs Velero and SSM Vs Mayweather.

Excellent.

Did FMJ say a long time ago that he would like to fight Mosley? If so, I don't see whats stopping it from happening.
I would be chuffed with Marquez, and then Mosley.
Please happen.

I think Mosley beats him. At 140 I think JMM could beat him. I'd still like to see Cotto try too.

Mosley has a very good shout, Marquez I don't think would be strong enough, Cotto - again very interesting fight.

hitman_hatton1 wrote:great fight.

not many better than marquez.

f*ck size.

not a great deal in it anyway really.

floyd will win though.

pts.
floyd is a small Welterweight, but he is a solid 140 lb fighter, he was strong enough to handle Hatton in the clinches, and that's a pretty tall order.

Marquez is a small lightweight.

At 140 he will struggle, at anything above, Marquez will just not be strong or big enough physically.

It doesn't look like Marquez is a big enough name for Mayweather.

You'd think perhaps Pacquiao, if Pac beats Hatton. I can see how Mayweather would come back to fight a smaller man, a smaller man with more name value.

I presumed that after Marquez called out Mayweather, Mayweather teased everyone about the comeback, to build anticipation, with no intention of fighting Marquez. Marquez has fought at the absolute highest level that's possible in this era, but he's small, marked up, ageing.

I was sure from the Jandaeng/Jaca fights through to Pac rematch and Juan Diaz, that Marquez would get the scar tissue around those eyes sliced up on the way to a TKO loss.

always some excuse isnt there ...............in truth there is no balance to your arguments other than an irrational hatred and bias against hatton.

So pbf fights marquez but isnt ducking cotto and mosely but hatton is.

unproven.

and at what weight personally at 140 i think hatton holds his own. at 147 he gets beat not linear enough.

and no need for names/ labels lets keep it civil if you wanna chat.

I have a slight issue with PBF fighting a super feather who has only had one fight at 135, regardless of the fact he is a great fighter (JMM).

But, I don't think its fair to expect him to get thrown in with a top class welter straight away either, hes been off for 20 months.

Mayweather really is a 140 fighter, he did 147 without any dehydrating, he often weighed 147, 148 on the night. That tells me that like any other boxer if he drained off that 8 pounds for the weigh in he is 'natuarlly' a junior welter.

So, whilst its right to say that Hatton gets unfair stick for not fighting the Cotto's or the Mosely's of the world it is also unfair for Mayweather to be expected to do the same.

The reason why we expect more of Floyd is, he rose above 140 for the money fights, (Judah - thought to be undisputed at the time of signing, and Oscar at 154 and Hatton at 147 - for the WBC belt). Floyd doesn't bang on about being a natural light welter all the time, how he puts himself at a disadvantage when hes at 147/154 etc, he just gets on with it and fights and wins.

My point is, if Floyd wanted to, he could piss and moan about being a 140 fighter who had gone out of his comfort zone to fight bigger more advantaged opponents, but because he hasn't we dont give him the break we sometimes give Ricky. He did start at 130 himself.

Floyd Marquez in my opionion is no different to Hatton Pacquio in terms of size difference, and whilst not ideal it may set up some good fights in and around 140-147.

Will be interesting to see how PBF handles JMM - Could give a good indication as to how he would fare against MP.

Hatton has been active and he wanted JMM before Pacman - he even talks about fighting him NEXT!

Floyd is smaller than Hatton and been out of the ring for nearly 2 years.

Who is the real bully?

Hatton!

PBF is so good he can beat JMM anywhere anytime - but why bother to train down to 1437 when you can fight at your walkaround weight?

Still...the fight should be at no more than 142.

I cleaned up when Hatton fought FLoyd (50/1 on floyd stopping him in the 10th round included). hopefully he goes in there against Cotto."
