No - it's a job - not a sport.
Lets have Bakers and painter and decorating as sports!
Re: Ricky Hatton on the same weekend as the snooker final
LOL, what a mix of things to get excited about. Boxing and snooker. Can't say it's 2 sports I would imagine many people are passionate about the same time. But if it works for you! Rock on.
Personally Boxing and Ice Hockey are my thing!!

Re: Ricky Hatton on the same weekend as the snooker final
This is what boxng and ice hockey have in common.
* fast paced and can 'score / eng game' at any moment
* the high paced physical demand of the sport
* the contact and 'hits' involved, where fighting is a legal part of an ice hockey game
* the way in which fans jump around, get involced and follow the sport is similar to the boxing community
Now snooker and boxing? I can't overly see what they might have in common, but maybe thats the point?

The only thing that i can see that boxing and snooker have in common is that they are both have become working class sports.terrez wrote:This is what boxng and ice hockey have in common.

Yeah but that game is seriously hard. Right up there with boxing in terms of fitness and punishment over a season.

Rugby League certainly is, although down South it's not that common. It's very much a Northern thing, unfortunately.metropol wrote:Rugby league is traditionally anotheryiddo14 wrote:Boxing and Snooker - 2 Working Class English Sports![]()

It's a great sport, and the fans seem a lot more passionate than the Rugby Union crowd.
I only ever had one Rugby Union lesson at school(my fault for not going to Grammar or Private I guess!)and Rugby League was never even mentioned during PE!
Re: Ricky Hatton on the same weekend as the snooker final
yeah its built round club is League, I would say the club fans are more passionate than union but not the internationals scene. No way union is far more passionate than league internationally.
