Skelton v Williams

If Danny manages to beat Tyson, then perhaps we could see Skelton v Williams in the future? Mind you, at that point Williams would be best off not bothering with Skelton, and moving on to bigger things I guess.

If Williams beats Tyson - I truly hope we dont see some meaningless WBU avenue or a return to domestic rivalries no matter how financially rewarding.

Williams should manouevre for a title shot or a high profile eliminator. Chris Byrd could soon be a free-agent and the Klitschko camp have come close to fighting Danny before too.

Both would earn him money.

And if Williams blows this chance having previously turned down a Wladimir fight to fight Sinan Samil Sam, then watched a fat Sanders KO Kltischko you do wonder if he will spend the rest of his life overwhelmed with regret.

He has ALL the tools to beat Tyson. I just hope he realises it.

Apparently he has had his left hand by his side during sparring, that is one area he definetly needs to work on, Tyson is still capable of exploiting a gap that big, and his shot won't need to travel far to stop Danny.

If Danny does beat Tyson, he should hope that that nice Mr King puts him in with the winner of Brewster/Meehan. That would be a very real chance of Danny getting at least a piece of the heavyweight pie. Then he just has to twat Wladimir (and you just know that Wlad will be the WBO's #1 contender after he knocks over Faruq Saleem or Brian Minto or whoever), and Danny's next fight is a unification against Vitali that will set him up, financially, for life.

Christ, this boxing lark is easy, really...

Williams has fought like that for a while, I doubt he can change. Tyson will easily find him with the right Williams does not have anywhere near the reflexes for that sort of hands down style.

He does put his hands up as well. I'm sure that on fight night he wont be so arrogant as to keep his left side so exposed.

If he wins, I will personally make sure he never fights British opposition again!! He has to take on the big names, regardless. He's been a pro since 1995, so this will just be more time-wasting.

When he fought that big lug N'gou, Danny's defence was actually very good. Then we have the other side of the coin, Danny looking like the world's largest ballerina as he shuck's and jives against Sprott in what was one of the most incongruous sights I have ever seen. It was like watching a hippo cavorting around in a tutu, the sight of a 19 stone man trying to 'do an Ali.'

I think that Williams coming back to domestic level is a certainty. Win, lose or draw against Tyson, doesn't make much difference, he'll come unstuck against someone at world level. I wish it wasn't true, but he'll either become overconfident, or intimidated and slip up.

British title is Danny's level, and i believe it to be Skeltons level also. I think the main stumbling block will be Skelton's age. How long will he want to stay in the game once he starts suffering a defeat or two?

If he did beat Tyson there's NO WAY he should fight Skelton, he would enjoy his ten minutes of fame by trying to get big name world title caliber type fighters and cashing in, not plebbing about with Skelton.

If he did fight Skelton it would be a while down the line, a couple of years at the least and by then Skelton would be an old codger.

I mean lets not worry what happens if Danny beats him, its a bit premature. Lets not get carried away.

IF Danny sensationally beats Tyson, Danny will become one of the most well known current heavyweights on the planet. Danny WILL get a proper big fight - It should be a big title fight (which, if Danny shows the bottle to beat Tyson - he can win that one). However, what I envisage is Williams vs Holyfield.

Lot of ifs though to be honest. Did you see Tyson in the ring on the countdown programme - I know it was only snippets, but the guy still is explosive.

Even if Danny loses royally to Tyson a fight with Skelton is still mouthwatering domestically.
