WHO HAS FAITH IN TONY DODSON?i mean dodson is a whole differant challange for froch he hits harder than any 1 hes faced.hes younger more ambition and realy doesnt like him so whos going to be the ones who can say i told you so?and be honest.cause i realy believe he can do it.

Tony,

I just cannot call this fight and it is one I'm looking forward to. You make your arguments well (although not sure if you are MORE ambitious, probably on a par in that respect).

My main concern is your inactivity (when is the last time you fought) and your "inconsisties", replicate the Barbosa form and I'll think you can do it.

How is training going, looking sharper than when you beat Barbosa?

Is there a date planned for the Froch fight, will get the opportunity of a warm up this time?

I think you should get a quick fight in and maybe fight around Nov / Dec time.

As I said, its a true 50:50 fight- I think opinion should be as divided as it was for Reid vs Magee.

yip I would echo Stu's thoughts on this one, if you come in sharp and on top of you game Tony yes of course you can do it, Froch really has shown he is open defensively, but has also shown that he can come through when his back is aagainst the wall. Cant wait to to find out though, go for it!

Anyone who is in the corner opposite Froch will get my support.

It's a big ask for Tony, but there are still questions that Froch has to answer - and why shouldn't it be Dodson asking them?

Frock (that was a typo, but I like my new nickname for him so I'll leave it)likes his opponents coming on, so Dodson won't be able to just steam into him and will have to think about the right combinations.

Educated pressure - and lots of punches - Frock likes his fighters to throw single shots so he can counter them - are the way forward IMO.

Froch's great leveller is his punchpower, however, there are certainly weaknesses to be exploited. A good attack to the body and head on the left side, and keeping the jab pumping in his face. His footwork isn't exceptional either, very flat footed all the time, he seems like a sucker for a bit of 'sidework' using the angles to prevent him planting his feet will take a lot of his power away. Froch likes to stand and counter hard, a moving target that is tagging him constantly will frustrate him I think.

One shot Froch seems very vulnerable to, is the right hook thrown from the side angle. Froch stands with his chin tucked right behind the shoulder, which would make it very hard for him to get out of the way of that shot if it is delivered from the left side, quick step off to Froch's left, a pivot, and wallop, he's there to be got.

Just a layman's observation mind, perhaps a trainer would laugh his head off at that suggestion.

Froch doesn't work that hard either, it's not hard to nick rounds off him, as Adamu showed. That fight also showed though, that Froch has serious power, because Adamu is a known toughnut, and Froch hurt him pretty badly and turned the whole fight around.

I have nothing against Froch, but I think a loss could do him more good than a win at this stage of his career, he's got some adjustments to make, and perhaps only a loss will force him to make those adjustments.

I saw in his last two fights, Froch isn't going to make it. Tony, get in a good eight-rounder now, and Froch will be no problem.

I understand Froch is fighting soon, I know Hennessy were trying to get a show for the 11th September, and Froch, Eastman and Spartacus are headlining the next show of theirs!

Froch holds his left hand way too low and showboats too much, it's something Dodson can definately exploit. Just think the winner has a potential fight with Matthew Barney to look forward to
